We have reached common ground. I do look forward to finishing our discussion on the pros and cons of kickstarter plans for video games one day. By personal, I didn't mean any specific part of your anything you've said. Rather, I meant this entire discussion by both of us has been about us, what we meant, other various comments about each other and each others' opinions...all stuff unrelated to the substance (the substance = whether companies asking customers to buy products before release is ridiculous or acceptable). I am just as much at fault/responsible for how this played out though so everything is all square with me.

I am also to blame in a way. Whenever someone replies I usually feel compelled to reply back over and over again, etc. I should have just left my reply as I planned to and been done with it. :)
I am passive aggressive in the bad way, so I get carried away with it too.

Okay, time for another Rome Total War-athon before work

To change the focus somewhat - didnt an Indie DEV team recently get into serious trouble using Paypal for donations, and have their account frozen?? Something to do with not having a product to sell, yet taking money for it, according to Paypal.
Any idea how this turned out? When I click on the link it goes to the FP of website. I see nothing about the project. So, I'm assuming it went tits up?

As I understand it they failed to meet their targets to launch the project from crowed funding. That said they did mention that they had alternative possible sources and that they might try other approaches. Personally I think they might have advertised too little - esp since several other space sim games have met with a very positive response to crowed funding.

All that said I'm unsure of the official current stance save that they did fail to meet their target.

Well, that is unfortunate. Maybe they will try to kick it off again.
Ah, thank you. I don't know how I managed to miss it on Steam. I should check if you can still install mods with the Steam version.

As far the Nexus 2 is concerned, the entire Games plant idea has been reworked into Pixonauts and they may try again with their new system. We shall see how it will work out. My money is still ready to support them if they (kick)start their project again.
Ever since i saw THIS i wanted to see the sequel born and now it can finally happen!

Yeah they just need funding ---- maybe we can convince Notch to fund them ;)
