It's been a long time since programmers have been actually respected and given credit for their work in making this world a better place. After all, there are many people out there who probably think that software was simply magically made for them or something. So the President of Russia has decreed a new holiday (I think, because I don't read Russian) called... surprise! Programmer's Day. That's the 256th day of the year (get it? 256?). That's awesome.
Now, does this include web developers and coders?
Awesome idea, but what does 256 have to do with it?

It's 2 to the power of 8. Binary is based on powers of 2.
About damn time...it needs to be a international holiday. :P

Because it's geektastic and epic. Which isn't a reason, but whatever.
