How come nobody mentioned Dungeon Master so far? That's so embarrassing I just had to do it....
Best dungeon ever was the whole of Chaos Strikes Back.

Protoss: Lufia 2 (SNES): The Ancient Cave will keep you entertained. You gain access to it around halfway through the game.

Bah, beat me to it.

It's been years since I did that thing. I doubt I got that far. Think level ~50.
speaking of Ancient Cave, apparently there's a Final Fantasy 5 ancient cave hack

JollySovereign: Well...the fade in Dragon Age: Origins is long.
Yeah, that's why there is a mod to skip that section entirely! It was OK the first time, but more than that is the height of tedium.
The Elder Scrolls: Arena
When someone mentions long dungeons, my mind immediately warps to Breath of Fire II on the SNES and the "Infinity" dungeon at the end of the game.

The first time I saw it was when a friend was playing and we were sure the game had glitched since it seemed to go on forever with almost 1:1 rooms.
Torchlight. Once you've beaten the game, you are presented with an infinite dungeon that gets harder and harder as you go down (until you reach a point where you just can't get any further)

Aaron86: Daggerfall's non-quest dungeons were so big they contained whole copies of the quest dungeons as mere subsections.
Your quest objective is behind a hidden locked door (door looks just like a standard wall). Even if you find it, good luck opening it.
That happened a few times too many to me. Me and daggerfall don't look eye to eye anymore.

And there are monsters that are only vulnerable to Dwarven weapons or better, showing up long before Dwarven weapons can actually spawn.
Diablo 1.

Catoblepas: I'd like to second the Tribunal expansion for Morrowind, Most of it takes place underground in ruins or caves, and it is really atmostpheric exploring it and there is a perfect balance of risk and reward in exploring the depths of the tunnels beneath mournhold, consdiering the already impressive and beautiful city that sits on top of the sewers/caves/ruins I'd definately recommend it.
Yeah, for sure. I actually disliked the expansion because it was such a dungeon dive and that's not my thing.
Dark Messiah of Might and Magic
Lots of indoor places and dungeons.
