I am very much a fan of Rotoscoping animation. To any one who does not what Rotoscoped animation is here is an example from one of my favorite movies:

Does anyone know any other films, shows, shorts, etc. that uses Rotoscoping animation, all I know is Ralph Bakshi's work and Disney's Snow White.
Waking Life
A Scanner Darkly

(both directed by Richard Linklater)
The only rotoscoped thing that comes to mind is the recent anime Aku no Hana, and that's a terrible show. Sorry I couldn't help out
This.. kinda.

Renaissance.
I'm not a big fan of rotoscoping. When you have real actors and settings, then why voluntarily degrade the visual quality? In theory, it would make sense if you want to depict things that can't be done by real actors, but I've rarely seen it used that way, and such scenes can be done with CGI as well.

However, if you like technique, then have a look at "A Scanner Darkly". :)
I dont know if you watch anime, but here is a new series that is airing called Aku no hana(Flowers of evil).

All of these recommendations look amazing especially Scanner Darkly....But I am look for more stuff Ralph Bakshi's work, mostly because it was this balance with realistic human animation, but still looks like a Traditional Animated Cartoon.

Scanner Darkly just looks like they just painted over everything digitally, similar to most things I see in Deviantart like this:

This seems like an interesting movie, but it also looks too stiff to be rotoscoped. It seems more like CGI made to look like cel animation.

Ah yes that was the word, they are not Rotoscoped, they look more Cel Shaded.

Cheesy as hell and only partically rotoscoped (mostly body animations) but worth a look!
Starchaser: The Legend of Orin
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8UZ2WfLG70

also utilised early CGI and full colour 3d techniques
I have noticed references to Ralph Bakshi's work, but I haven't seen anyone mention Wizards yet. I love that movie and it is a great story combined with Rotoscoping in it. :)

Arguably Star Wars as well due to the use of Lightsabers as well. :P

Well I just watched half of the first episode and already I am intrigued, what is wrong with this show, I already read the summary and it not alienated me that much.
The absolutely wonderful film Waltz with Bashir, really a must see, doesn't use rotoscoping (as wikipedia explains) but the technique 'invented' for this particular documentary has a very very similar aesthetic.

That documentary I am eyeing for while, but its difficult to find, and I do not want to pirate it because I don't trust Pirate Bay
