If you could get one or the other, which would you get?

I only previously played the first five minutes of Cave Story when it was free so wouldn't mind sitting through the game with updated graphics - is it a lengthy game? Lots of secrets?

Rochard is simply new and fresh and will get it eventually but can only afford one now - which would you get and why?
