Apparently Universal Studios is launching a lawsuit against this porn company for ripping off Fifty Shades of Grey. For those that are not in the loop, but FSoG was originally a Twilight fanfiction story called Master of the Universe and apparently the only thing the author did was switch out the names

Talk about hypocrisy, although if what they say is true at least James had the decency to change around some names.

Read the books. They are worse than Twilight if that is even remotely possible.

Uhm, what? Fifty Shades of Gray is an original work of fiction. It does not have either the plot or the characters from Twilight. Universal bought the movie rights, and they are suing another studio that's making the same movie without having bought the rights.

Now the fan fiction work *is* infringement, because it uses the characters from Twilight. However, it is a completely separate work of fiction, and it's up to Stephanie Meyer to sue Erika Leonard.

As someone with only a cursory knowledge of Twilight based on the advertising and stigmas in our pop culture, the idea of something being worse than Twilight frightens me.

I hope this isn't the end of proper porn...
