Have just read a review of "Pinball Redux 2" on the main site which began:
"In all fairness, I'll start by saying I'm no huge pinball fan."
That's a good positive start to a review - a couple of stars off to begin with!
Fair Play to GOG though, they are featuring this information on the main page as being a helpful review.
However, I think I'll hang on to my pennies until I learn more about this game.
BTW I'm a huge pinball fan.

Well, it's a first review, so it's naturally the "most helpful one". The review system is automated and therefore only relies on votes and timing to determine a review's position.
More reviews would be good, but what should GoG in your opinion do about it, other than the already existing review contest? Would you believe them if they wrote one?

Unlike yourself, I was not aware that this was the only review for this game to date (I can only go on what I read on the site) and that they were automated anyway as part of some competition.
I just found it peculiar that someone who admits to having no great enthusiasm for a particular game genre should feel compelled to buy it and then write a review of it to give the rest of us the benefit of their opinion and that GoG would automatically publish it.
I was actually being complimentary about GoG for them being honest enough to put a half-hearted review of a game on the same page they were using to advertise it.
Presumably as (or if) GoG get more positive reviews of the game they will give them prominence on their advertisements which will assist in selling more copies of the game.
Regards.
