Well I just had to say I love this device. My wife got it for me for my birthday yesterday. I think the kids had more fun with it last night than I did. Be warned that the wireless controllers really are not worth using at all and the button mapping is horrendous. However, if you have the original controllers (which I do) this device is a must buy for playing all those old classics. It was so much fun watching my older (18 - 24) kids scramble around trying decide which of there old favorites to play first. Made for a great birthday. Thanks and kudos to my wife.
I keep looking at those combo systems, but most of them are so poorly made that its hard to know if they are going to last more than a few days. Some family members bought one a while ago (different kind) and it lasted two weeks, which is a tragically common occurrence.

I almost wish Nintendo would just make a quality one for NES, SNES games but I doubt they ever will. Though I would be much more interested in a Genesis/ SNES one. Which isn't crazy given Sega's situation. (I can hear my 15 year old brain screaming NOOO from the 90's.)
Cool gizmo. And happy birthday!
We used it a lot last night and it seemed fine - I guess time will tell. The games played great and the sound and video was great. Having it up on the big screen was also fun. I am going to test out some older gameboy and color games using the Super Nintendo Adapter I have and see how that goes when I get some alone time. I think my wife hit the sweet spot this year.
