Giger's art for the Alien movies influenced a wide array of pop culture items, I remember playing Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare back when and

got a bit annoyed at a later area in the game, which looked like cave tunnels wallpapered with Alien movie architecture. I remember thinking, wow, how original, they couldn't come up with something interesting, so just stole Giger's iconic design.
