I've seen quite a few people mentioned that GOG has removed some games and changed some prices. I've looked through the catalog and don't notice any changes(except for the addition of BG) so I was just wondering what they were.
The removed games were all removed a long time ago.

They were TOCA 3, Obscure, Colin McRae's Rally 2005 and Operation Flashpoint. Perhaps one or two more, that I don't recall.

Regarding price changes, as far as I know those have always been announced. The Oddworld series got a price drop, and one of the Masters of Might and Magics got a price increase, IIRC.

Heroes of Might and Magic 1 was 5.99 for its first week, then raised to 9.99.

GADDAMMIT UBISOFT
To clarify, HoMM 1 was always meant to be sold at $9.99. The $5.99 price was a special debut price - presumably a compromise with Ubisoft (remember that the release was delayed due to ongoing negotiations?).

I wouldn't even buy it for 5.99. 2 and 3 on the other hand... But I still think Ubi's pricing policy is a joke.
Removing games sucks, but since they have no DRM it's not like anyone got screwed. Honestly if you don't backup your GOG purchases soon after downloading them you deserve whatever fate falls upon you.

It's a shame they have to negotiate each game and sign limited contracts for them and such... I know these companies want to protect their IP, no matter how old, but it seems like something they could ease up on for the sake of keeping a community alive. Look at Bethesda... they released Arena and Daggerfall for free just to keep interest in The Elder Scrolls and to please fans.
I can still download Obscure. =D
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know each time they removed a game that game remained available for download for everyone who had already bought it. They just stopped selling to new people.

Have you actually tried that after GoG "resurrection"? Because everybody else, including me, get a 404 error.

Woops. You're right, I ca't do it anymore. I got a backup when they removed it though. So no big deal.

You are correct, but since the relaunch, those games are no longer available, even to the people who bought them.

I would really like an official statement from GOG on the issue.

Ah, that's the one. Always get those mixed up.

I think according to a reply someone got from support, they said they're looking into it. But I don't think anyone from GOG has posted that specifically in the forums. But I've not really been looking due to all the problems with viewing posts here.
