Well you just described why I hated Trine with a passion. It's very charming and for the low price it may be worth a shot but I hated that every level was a puzzle to figure out how to move to the next area and if the one character you need to progress is dead then you must restart from a checkpoint but the game doesn't tell you this so you try and try and try and after 10 minutes figure out that you can't move on without the Thief who is dead.

Some will say that it's an action-adventure game so puzzles are to be expected and that's true so I'm not saying it's a bad game but only that I dislike the type of game here.

Actually, I was pretty sure the Wizard can get to just about any area that the thief can.

In any case, its a pretty easy game, so your characters should not be spending much time dead.

déjà acheté lors d'un humble indie bundle, il s'agit VRAIMENT d'un MUST HAVE !!! habituellement j'ai pas les plateforme mais celui-là je l'ai commencé et j'ai pas pu le lâcher, il est ENORMISSIME !!! un réussite totale, il FAUT l'AVOIR, les mots me manquent, TOUT est bon, les graphismes de toute beauté, la musique envoûtante, le moteur physique excellent, le plaisir de jeu : TOTAL !

Nice to see this game here in GOG though I already owned it. This is really a great game. Heard that the game is released on game console...but I really wonder how this game can be played without a mouse...

I have Trine on PS3 already. I'll probably get it during a sale for the soundtrack though.

I'll definitely be interested day one if Trine 2 comes here though, don't have it yet.

I would also very much like the ability to get the Linux version through GOG when one exists. If support is the sticking point then I would be happy with just being able to get them as unsupported extras. Any Linux games that GOG is likely to add would probably be ones where the developer is active at the moment, so it is only natural that the technical support is handled by them instead of GOG. This is different from the older games where part of the GOG package is that they get it working on newer machines.

Oh, and how about link from the game pages to corresponding page on WineHQ AppDB, if there is one?

Windows is the easier gaming platform, no doubt about it. But well, Linux is a non-DRM operating system so for that reason alone I think Linux users are probably well represented in GOG userbase, more so than with gamers in general at least.

These days installing Linux is way easier than it used to be, although it depends a bit on luck with your particular hardware. I use Kubuntu myself and I am not too much familiar with other options because Kubuntu works well enough and gives me KDE which has tons of options and configurability out of the box.

Both Windows and Linux have their own annoyances, but in the end I am willing to trade some extra work for better control and configurability. It is also nice to be a smaller target for viruses and bot networks.

I have it now. I didn't even know this game existed until GoG added it to their catalogue^^ But sounds like real fun, especially because of multiplayer mode.

Congrats! I suggest you start paying attention to the Humble Indie Bundles though - Trine has been in 2 of them last year!
