You might not think that a hospital sim could be so funny, but remember: laughter is the best medicine!

Welcome to the GOG.com clinic! As a treatment for typical symptoms of moderngameboringus--lack of creativity, no sense of humor, and mindless repetition--we recommend a wonderful insta-cure: Theme Hospital for a co-pay of only $5.99!

Theme Hospital is a hospital management simulation. You need to fill the empty building with all sorts of hospital equipment, starting from desks and file cabinets, to ultra-sophisticated diagnostic machinery like DNA fixer or Head Inflator: you know, equipment every hospital needs. Then you hire all necessary staff members like doctors, nurses, handymen, or receptionists, and once everything’s set up, treat patients as they come in suffering from a variety of humourous illnesses, including Hairyitis, Bloaty Head, and even Slack Tongue (caused by over-discussion of soap operas!).

Theme Hospital is all about the little details: staff personalities, patients vomiting, doctors chilling in the staff room, and fantastic comedic cutscenes. Your hospital requires not only the best staff and equipment but pool tables, soda machines, radiators, and plants to keep your patients and doctors alike happy. Fans of micromanagement will be pleased, but so will fans of fun!

Do what it takes to make the world a better place: pick up Theme Hospital for $5.99 on GOG.com today!

tburger: Some of you complain on EA but I just love them for bringing their catalog to GOG.
This.
Wait what's this? 3 classic games released on GOG(one last week and two this week and yes I know we had classics released three weeks before that) but isn't GOG supposed to be all about releasing newer games and ignoring the classics? *Shock and surprise* Does this mean those who were having knee-jerk reactions to the conference and the slew of newer releases, what? two weeks prior were just that ridicules knee-jerk over reactions?

Sorry couldn't help myself for making a sarcastic "I told you so" post.

Anyway nice release this week, not usually my cup of tea but I may give it a look anyway. Hell since were seeing more Bullfrog titles does this mean I can give into the hope of seeing Syndicate Wars coming here? Also any chance of getting on EA/Bioware about World of Ultima 1 and 2?

Roufuss: It's the DOS version, and someone on the Theme Hospital board is already reporting that GOG did a bad job with this one; he mentioned sub-par performance and mouse issues.

I'm disappointed.
Maybe the Windows version is hidden somewhere, like with MoO2? I still have my original Theme Hospital disc, and Windows version appears to be working fine on my Vista 32-bit.

I've been waiting for this. One of my guilty pleasures. I thought this day would never come.
Great release.
So... GOG is not releasing old classics? Anyone? Yeah i thought so.

Not my style but fantastic release kudos to GOG!
Purchased w/o delay when I saw GOG released this.
Great release.

It's great to see another fantastic classic game in GOG.com library. ^_^
Instabuy.

I remember when I got a demo of this game in a PC Format cover disk. Me and my kids went crazy trying to find a friend who was going abroad and could buy as a full copy.

Ah the Dark Ages before the internet...
WHOA!!!!!

Finally! Got an original version on CD. But have to buy it here as well, I can't say how many hours I've spent playing this... About 800, I'd say. Buy it!
