Hadouken!

Street Fighter Alpha 2, one of the most successful 2D fighting games of all times, is now available on GOG.com for only $5.99!

Ryu, from Japan. Chun-Li, from China. Ken, from USA. Birdie, from England. Charlie, from USA. Adon, from Thailand. Rose, from Italy. Guy, from USA. Sagat, from Thailand. Bison, from Brasil. Sodom, from USA. Akuma, from Japan. Dan, from Hong Kong. Zangief, from USSR. Dhalsim, from India. Rolento, from USA. Gen, from China. Sakura, from Japan. Eighteen hardcore fighters, each with his or hers set of moves and fighting techniques, are ready for the incredible showdown, that is the Street Fighter championship.

In Street Fighter Alpha 2, many of the long time favorite characters--like Ryu, Chun-Li, and Zangief-- return to our screens. They're accompanied by a cast of newcomers, who have even more to prove. The game features beautiful, cartoony pixel-art graphics that guarantees a clear view of the fast-paced combat. A system of deadly custom combos has been introduced in place of the closed chain-combos, so you have even more control over your fighting style!

Stretch your fingers, put on your bandanna, and get ready for the ultimate fighting challenge in Street Fighter Alpha 2, for only $5.99!
Wow! Too bad for Guilty Gear! Great game!

MichiGen: Instabuy! Will buy this mainly because I want to see Resident Evil 1,2,3 and more from CAPCOM here :)
That's not how incentive I've works.

Indeed, Street Fighter 2 is one of the all time greats, I'm never quite sure which one I prefer Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat. Both excellent games, but different styles and I don't recall MK making it to PC.

I recall playing the first and third Mortal Kombat on pc, and then there were the 3d versions of it. Let me see if I can verify their existence.

Edit: Mobygames verifies that MK 1-3 were also available for Dos, while MK4 was available for Windows.

I remember playing MK3 with my brother on our family PC when I was a kid, so I can confirm that it exists
So if the deal is with Capcom USA for now, what other licenses (beyond SF obviously) could GOG sign with them without Japan's additional say-so?
The early Mortal Kombat games were all on PC. I still have Mortal Kombat II, and I used to have Mortal Kombat 4.

Both series have merit, in particular Street Fighter III and Mortal Kombat IX.

As some have pointed out, the earlier games in the franchise have had PC versions. Also, Warner Bros released the actual arcade versions for PC earlier this year. Unfortunately, they're only available from Steam though.

Garugo: Looking forward to the few MMX games that had PC ports coming eventually. I think the only Mega Man games (original series) that made it to PC were the unrelated Mega Man and Mega Man 3 that completely sucked. But, you know what, if they come here either free or as a bundle for super cheap, I might just get them. :P
I actually still have my original DOS copy of Mega Man, boxed and everything. If you can even believe it, it's actually not that terrible if you play it with an actual controller.

Never tried it with a controller since I had it way back when as part of Street Fighter 2 PC. But I can't see it being close to an actual Mega Man game, there was just so much not up to par with it. No music, and sounds were reused for weird things (I think), and a few areas forced you to take hits it seems.

With that said, I still wouldn't mind seeing them come here as freebies!
Heh, sales seem to be picking up a little. SFA 2 is now past GG Isuka, at least.

No, it's not Steamworks. It is Games For Windows Live, though.

I've no idea, unfortunately. I'd love to see more Capcom titles on GOG regardless though (especially since I plugged Sven about it over on the Ask Capcom forums awhile back by basically saying there was practically nonexistant PC support from Capcom).

A PSX port with arcade music in WAV. I wonder how much "damaged" it suffered due to PS's poor 2D capabilities. I've found an article that says Alpha 3 was a great port, so maybe this wasn't bad either. In any case, the additional modes might make it worthwhile.

I wonder will they ever fork over (S)SF IV (AE), and would it even make sense if the GfWL crap was removed (is online dependent on it?).
