Grab a front seat--this is one wild ride you will never forget

Finally, the trilogy is complete: GOG.com brings Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 back to your PCs in a definitive digital bundled-with-extras DRM-free package with the Soaked! and Wild! add-ons, all for just $19.99.

Rollercoaster Tycoon 3: Platinum! is a construction and management simulator, in which the player runs an amusement park by building rides, managing finances, hiring staff, and keeping the “peeps” happy. The game features career mode, in which players complete predesigned scenarios, and new sandbox mode where you can literally spend days and weeks designing the greatest roller coaster PC monitors have ever witnessed. The game utilizes full 3D graphics; that not only means you can rotate the camera and zoom in/out on your guests and amusement rides, but also allows you to use the CoasterCam and cruise along with your thrill-ride visitors.

Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 is all the best from its genre--it’s beautiful to watch, accessible but challenging, enormously entertaining, and incredibly detailed when it comes to managing rides, buildings, salaries, prices, and fees. In addition to that, RCT3 packs a few new elements, like a day/night cycle, creating your own fireworks, adding your own mp3 music to the background, and creating your own groups of visitors. This is a tremendous addition to the series, especially since the Wild! and Soaked! add-ons are included.

Run the greatest amusement park in gaming history, available now on GOG.com for $19.99.

SLP2000: For you.

For me it's the selling point.
And for others Steam integration or a paper manual is a selling point. The point is that "DRM-free" doesn't make GOG incomparable with other services and shops.

Luckily GOG's products usually have a lot of other selling points as well. Common ones are fairly low prices, nice extras and quite often the fact that, well, the only other place to buy many of these games is eBay.
There are many games I would buy, but I don't - because they are not DRM-free.

Top of my list - Civilization V, Deus Ex (new one), Fallout New Vegas.
Ooh, you're missing out on some great games, esp. the two last. But I do understand you. I've decided not to buy downloadable console games any more, for reasons that might not make a lot of sense to others, and it means I'm missing out on stuff like Journey and Trials Evolution. Too bad. But like you I have plenty of other games waiting for me, both here, on Steam and in a good few stacks of actual boxes.

What a ridiculous price for this game. I know it's the same on Steam and elsewhere, so it's not GOG's fault. Still, this game is not even close to being worth twenty dollars.

SLP2000: Actually, no.

I have too many games to play, so if a game looks intersting, it's a question of "no-drm".

DRM asceticism: the hair shirt for gamers. Enjoy your extremism, mate, but this does not make Zeewolf's point any less truthful.
Just put it on my wishlist. Will buy it when it's at an adequate price tag.

I'm with you . Stopped buying games from Steam .

Kabus: If you want a see an idiot look at the mirror.
Sorry, I can't find you there... ;-(

I think all the complaining is more about an old game being priced with a "exclusively for newer games"-price point. As a reminder: Before Good Old Games turned to gog.com, games were sold for 6 or 10 Dollar. Period. They added higher price points to be able to sell NEWER games as well. Now we have an old game for $20.

GOG's choice probably was something like "Sell it for $20 or leave it". GOG chose to sell it for $20. A good thing? I don't know. Tycoon games aren't my cup of tea... But have a look at what happened. "Good old games for flat prices" turned to "good old games for flat prices and newer games for slightly higher prices" to "good old games for higher prices as well, because otherwise we would not be able to sell this game". What's next? Good old games tied to Origin, because otherwise EA wouldn't give us the game? Yes, you're right, that's doom-mongering. GOG said that they won't sell DRMed games. But they also said that the new price points are for new games...

It's not about Rollercoaster 3 beeing priced with a price tag similar to other stores. It's about how easy GOG is throwing away it's former principles... And it's about what GOG said a few weeks ago: New price points for new games, old price points for old games. And now we have a six years old new game. That's not what GOG told us...
Add me to the list of $20 = :/

Priced at £7.59 (gold edition with expansions, no soundtrack and no avatars)

The game here on GOG is aprox £13

So £8 boxed with a load of protection
or
£13 digital and DRM free

I really enjoy the series, but even DRM free with extras $20 is a little too much, plus having so much other stuff to play atm. Wishlisted to buy when I have time for it.

Zeewolf: A game is a game. DRM-free is a bonus. For many, a box is a bonus too.

Kabus: If you think this way what are you doing here? Go pirate.
That's a kind of funky response considering the fact that if I were to pirate it, which I won't, then I would get a DRM-free copy. I wouldn't get a box though.

Yeah but who would really buy a physical game choc-a-bloc with DRM (not to mention if a patch doesn't exist which removes CD-check) in 2012?

Plenty of people? Loss of a Box is still one of the main arguments when it comes to Digital gaming vs non digital gaming.

And people who buy boxes don't think ... Hmm, but it has DRM.
Heck, a lot of people who buy digital don't even think that >.>

This. Nowadays I always buy my games with DRM in mind.

I threw up a version from amazon earlier for £4.85 ;) it's the deluxe version which is essentially the same as the Platinum version (just different re-distributor)

Also: This is the point exactly......

This has shattered my illusion of GOG.

I used to think of them as digital bad asses, putting games up on their terms.

6, 10 or get out!

now it feels like 6, 10 or whatever you feel like it's not up to us!

I agreed with it as 15 for certain indie titles, it made sense, but this has actually annoyed me.
