Trouble? Just go with the flow!

Puddle, a challenging puzzler based on the physics of fluids featuring a multitude of cleverly designed levels, a relaxing soundtrack, and colorful graphics, is now available on GOG.com for only $7.99. That's 20% off the regular price!

Archimedes of Syracuse (c. 287 BC – c. 212 BC) was a Greek mathematician, physicist, engineer, inventor, and astronomer. Even though he's considered to be one of history's greatest mathematicians, during his lifetime, he was mainly recognised as an inventor. His scientific legacy received the due respect and fame seven centuries later and remained a large influence even for the great minds of the Renaissance. Anecdotally, his greatest discovery happened in a bathtub, and resulted in the great scientist running down the streets of Syracuse wet and naked, exclaiming the Greek word "Eureka!"--I have found!. What he has found, was the existence of a force by which an immersed object is buoyed up, and which is equal to the weight of the fluid the object actually displaces. This observation--now known as Archimedes' principle--became a foundation of hydrostatics: the science of fluid physics. Hydrostatics, in turn, became the foundation of Puddle.

Puddle is an original and intriguing title that will have you twisting the game world to redirect the flow of various liquids and solve many logical challenges. In case you’re wondering: no, you won't be only playing with water. There are other liquids to toy with in Puddle. Imagine trying to get a gallon of explosive nitroglycerin across a deviously designed level, full of steep slopes, sudden drops, and unexpected dead ends. Oh yes, you'll be sweating from your brow. But that's OK. That's fluid too.

Make Archimedes proud and let the fluids flawlessly flow through the many challenging stages of the Puddle, for only $7.99!
This is not because it is developed by Neko that it is by the creators of Bratz Pony 2

I don't understand... everything I read tells me it's the same company that sells shit like Crazy Frog, Charlie's Angels and the Bratz games.

I' m not saying it is not the same company but they are not the same people.
In addition, a small company have not always the choice to develop the games she wants to survive. I think that we can developed Puddle as we wanted freely.
It is very simplistic to say that because a company worked before on a game that you dislike, it will necessarily the same shit.

kdroben: Hi, I'm one of the developer of Puddle. I want to clarify a few things about Puddle. This is not because it is developed by Neko that it is by the creators of Bratz Pony 2. Neko is a small developper. Initially this game was developed by 6 students including myself and was one of the student showcase winners a the IGF 2010. The PC version is a port of the XBLA and PSN versions developed by the original team. We have put into the game all our love for gamer games. And I hope it will please GOG users. Actually ther is a free version of the game, it's the 10 minutes demo we developed at school, now the game is really better I think. More levels, more puzzle, better physics, better graphics.... For those who asked for the 5 extra bucks from the google play version. On PC you have a better framerate, you have videos to explain the story, better sounds and better graphics. For those who say Puddle is not indie, I would like to know what they call indie? Is it a game by Klei Entertainment and published by EA or Microsoft? (I have nothing agains them, I love their games) I think being indie is more a way of seeing the game indistustry, an industry led by huge blockbuster. We just wanted to make our project, at our scale in a small structure. And foremost to the players. I hope you like puddle. P.S. Sorry for my bad english
Thank you for replying! That was a nice surprise. I was only wondering what the difference is between this version and the apparent free version which I had never played either, and you have answered my question in detail. Thanks for that! I just finished my masters in game engineering so I appreciate the obvious hard work that went into this game's engine and design. Very nice work indeed. I always support good indie developers and I'm very happy that they (you) can now compete with big budget titles through digital distribution. It sends a message to publishers that there many people who value substance and innovation over tired mechanics and flashy explosions.

I have wishlisted for now and will get it soon to be sure! Please keep up the work and bring us more physics games in the future!
You can actually get a degree in game engineering? A masters no less. Not being disrespectful, just surprised. I don't out enough I guess,,

Stooner: Looks A LOT like Fluidity from Nintendo.....
Fluidity is also being sold under the name Aquaventure in the Wii Shop. It's one of the funniest and most original games I have played in my 30 years of computer / video gaming history, go check it out!

Puddle steals the idea completely, but if it's anywhere near Aquaventure in terms of pure gaming fun, I'm willing to try it out...just don't expect the British studio that made Aquaventure to clap their hands after seeing Puddle ;)

Not exactly puddle was one of the student showcase finalist at IGF 2010 and developed in 2009. At this time Fluidity was not even announced.
Sorry but this is a bit irritating to see always the same misinformation about the game.
If puddle fluidity and fluid mechanics have in common, in fact, the gameplay is quite different. Fluidity is a Metroidvania, puddle is more a racing platformer.
I hope that you will find fun.
@MrAlphaNumeric : No problem, it is a pleasure to inform a little. We're not very good at communication, it is sad that the demo is not available on PC, so that people can form an opinion.

Yup.. There are a few out there, but here is the one I got. It focuses on core tech as opposed to game design which most other courses focus on.

Ha! So it's the other way round then? Sorry for not noticing the years of release. It's been a while since I completed Fluidity/Aquaventura, so I should have checked before posting. Anyway, nice to see the developers show up here - and I'm in for Puddle :)

Thanks bro :) Hopefully it will.
Finally got some time to play it today and my first impressions are good. You have to think a little before "moving" the fluid and the rest is up to your players skills. It's not as casual and easy as Locoroco (PSP) so there is some challenge. The game keeps track of your performances so you can play it as a scoring game. Good graphics and sound and for confort (because it's typically a game to play in your couch), I would recommend a joypad (x360 controller works fine) although it can be played easily with a keyboard. It's cool to play it between two sessions of Borderlands 2. :o)

To the devs: chouette jeu les mecs, merci de l'avoir mis à disposition sur gog ;)
Very nice release.
