Dreams of paradise turned into living hell.

Project Eden, a cyberpunk squad-based action&tactics 3D shooter with many interesting puzzles and a gritty story, is available on GOG.com for only $5.99.

I've seen the sky. I felt the sun's warmth on my face's bare skin. That makes me more fortunate than 95% of Earth's population. The millions of people crowded in the lower levels of the omni-cities are born, live, and die without ever seeing natural light. We've been reduced to that, as a species. I pity us. Maybe that's why I take my work in the Urban Protection Agency so seriously. If all those poor basterds are doomed to such pitiful excuse for life, we should at least make sure they spend it in relative safety and comfort. So no, don't ask me to retire. My answer is and always will be: get the hell out of my office! Now don't stand in my way. I have a squad to lead and an assignment to complete. Something's wrong in the Real Meat factory.

Project Eden combines First-Person and Third-Person shooter mechanics with squad tactics, challenging puzzles, and a dark dystopian story in the best tradition of cyberpunk. You'll be commanding a unit of four operatives, each with their own specialties and fields of expertise, to uncover and face a foe that threatens to change the horror of humankind's crowded future into a bloodbath hell. The game also features a co-op mode, that will let you face your mission with up to 3 friends at your side, each commanding one of the operatives at will. With suggestive setting, original mechanics, and imaginative level design this one will keep you on the edge of your chair!

Get to the bottom of mankind's dark future and find the root of the menace lurking in the shadows in Project Eden, for only $5.99 on GOG.com!

Actually this is more of a puzzle game with shooter segments and it's much more enjoyable in co-op. Think Portal 2 type puzzles.

A gritty story? This needs a whimsical modern remake!
Nice release i think i remember this when it was 1st released.
I remember this game. Wished list for now but I am looking forward to playing it again
This looked quite dull even back in the day - but if you persist, you will actually find a real gem of a game. One of Core Desgin's finest. The puzzles are really smart, and the cooperation between the different characters works very well. Sometimes it feels like a 3D version of The Lost Vikings.

I am more concerned about the squad based. If its anything like the old SpaceHulk games I will steer clear. If its manageable by pause and turns then it could be fun I am just too old and slow to manage 4 or more characters at once LOL
I slogged through this way back when it came out. I've no idea why I persisted as I certainly wasn't enjoying myself - the game just never seemed to end. The controls were clunky and the action pretty dull.
cool game, never finished it though because i got stuck in one of the levels.
Oooh I still have my original copy lying around somewhere.
I don't really remember if it was any good though, just that I liked certain concepts and things in the game.
Will definitely pick this up during a sale.
I actually remember playing this and I think I got it out of a discount bin.
Hmm interesting, the squad based nature is a bit off putting though, would have prefered Slave Zero - I had that one on DreamCast and it looked pretty cool but I hate trying to control FPSes on a gamepad so much..
I remember this game from people who made Tomb Raider series.

Naver got time for test, '90 - 200x have lot great games so no time for unknown titles.

Glad there is GOG for rescue.
