Hack and slash like there's no tomorrow!

Hammerwatch, a fast-paced fantasy hack-and-slash with exciting multi-player modes and lots of pixelated nostalgia, is available 20% off on GOG.com. That's only $7.99 for the first week!

Hacking is fun, slashing is too! In a fantasy world what else should you do? Go, grab a hammer, a mace, or a sword, and strike against all evil, corruption, and woe. There's bound to be some riches to find on your way, so remember: loot bodies of all that you slay. Take some friends on adventure, strength in number lies, just don't linger too long when a companion dies. Whatever freaks cross our path with their devious tricks, we'll dismantle their pixels with stabs, jabs, slashes, and kicks. Dungeons, oh sweet dungeons, let us answer your call--experience points and glory, that's the true hero's goal.

Hammerwatch is a modern indie game with the heart of a classic. The main idea--conquering dungeons and other formidable locations--is almost as old as computer gaming itself. The execution, however, makes it a perfect pick for contemporary gamers as well. With fast-paced, dynamic gameplay full of nice ideas, optional local and online multi-player, and even a scenario editor that allows for creation of your very own adventures from scratch (including new graphics!), this little pixelated gem can bring you hours, and hours of nostalgic hack-and-slash fun!

Unleash the pixelated fantasy mayhem with all the right RPG flavors with Hammerwatch, for only $7.99 on GOG.com. The 20% discount offer lasts until Thursday, August 29, at 9:59AM GMT.
Very fast paced game.... And looks interesting too.
Their official webpage also seems to have a 4-pack available.

And no, DRM-free but no GOG keys I imagine for the same reason they're didn't want to give GOG keys for the groupees bundle, because it would devalue the GOG product. Would be nice if the option became more common in the future though, but I can understand how the benefits might not really outweigh the loss of sales for GOG, it's really a long term strategy which is something they may not be big enough for.

Still, at $7.99 it seems like a nice game to pick up on GOG regardless. Certainly has a style that fits in, despite being a new game.

This reminds me a lot of Get Medieval. Speaking of which, is there any chance of getting some more old Monolith games here? I know that we already have SHOGO and Blood but what about the rest?
Might try it someday
hmmm.... great game, nice pixelart, addictive gameplay...

But hey, GOG, please do me a favor and announce such games, that they are coming to GOG too, when they are released on Steam just a few days before you.
I bought it week ago on hammerwatch.com (=humble store), just because there was no sign it will be available here on GOG too :(
For what you have that New & Coming tab on the homepage?

it did seem appealing in the video. and i spied a demo on that site you linked.

with the groupee's it would be nice if we could go for a tier 3 for like $10 and land GOG keys. or something similar.
it wouldnt end up with a surge of GOG keys floating out there, they had been putting those 2-3 month time limits on all the codes anyhow, so no one could really stockpile them.

id have gone for both GOG keys for ittle dew and Ring Runner, but ill have to camp out for the Sales here i guess. odds are good ill beat ittle dew by then though, maybe one of those GOG bundling promos or something will come along by then.

mayhaps with the new 'indie section/url' or something there will be some GOG indie bundles here. ^_^
Looks nice and it also sounds very nice. I like the music I in the trailer a lot. The soundtrack could be nice for some P&P RPG nights. :-)
Wishlisted for now.
Seems like it could be fun. co-op modes and a level editor is always great.
Gauntlet?

Nice release.

That's actually a feature in the game as you can change the curvature of the displayed content. There's a slider for it in the options menu :D.
