Ghorpm: My thoughts exactly! I was disappointed about Edna & Harvey too.

I've heard that Dracula 4 is terribly short and as consequence - overpriced. But adding a new game for free is a very generous sign of a goodwill. I always respect people who try to correct their mistakes and - in cases like this - I'm trying to support them as much as I can (see attachment - previously I planned to wait for a sale to get it)

HypersomniacLive: Daedalic complain that they don't sell as well as they'd want to, but then go and do things that'll ensure that sales won't improve. They blamed their retail publisher for making the German language an exclusive to a more expensive version, but then went and did the exact same thing when they self-published.
It's quite astonishing how they fail to interpret where the problem may lie and how to rectify it, especially as they're no newcomers to the game. I'm disappointed enough by what they think is good business to not bother about them and their games, unless I see some pretty swell signs that they've come to their senses.

I already own the Dracula Trilogy, plus finances are not looking good for quite a while now so it's not a priority for me, but well done with demonstrating your support.
Yeah, it's really strange what they are doing... somebody mentioned that they have financial problems... maybe they are just desperate and since (it's been mentioned somewhere too!) the first part of Edna was recently released on Steam they decided to increase the price here to match them. I can see that it may work in their favor - there are a lot of people who want to have their games on Steam only so there is a chance that they will buy both Edna games and perhaps they wouldn't do so if they knew that they could be bought much cheaper elsewhere.

But it doesn't change the fact that it was really disappointing. Anuman has just earned a lot of my respect and as I said I'm always trying to support such companies (luckily it was possible at this very moment) and Daedalic has lost my respect. And while I'll probably buy some of their games I'll certainly wait for a huge discount. I just don't see a reason to support them anymore...

What a cool move! It also suggest a solid commitment to future use of GOG as a platform, and a genuine concern for the reputation of their games - both very good things to see.

I'm pretty sure that the "want their games on Steam only" crowd wouldn't pick GOG over Steam, they'd just scout the Internet to get the best deal for their Steam keys.
Besides, they could have bundled the games on Steam, but no, it's so much better to ask for $15 for an eight old game.

Daedelic lost my respect a long time ago - if it wasn't for the Irish Luck Promo, I wouldn't have purchased the third Deponia game any time soon, but for $2 (Pot of Gold) I went for it. Now, I'm going to patiently sit on it and wait for the German language to be added (when and if ever). I would also say "other goodies", but seeing their move with the Edna & Harvey games, I guess this will take a lifetime. :-P

As for Anuman Interactive, they're pretty OK in my book, they have some pretty nice adventure games here that I have bought or have my eye on buying over time.

SirPrimalform: Very nice! Sort of the opposite move from what Daedalic did with the Harvey games (well not exactly, they didn't actually the games from users accounts but you know what I mean).
Hmm, why do I think that this is actually GOG's doing than Daedelic's? GOG's known to not remove games from users accounts, regardless of how the selling site changes.

Had my eye on Dracula 4 waiting for a sale. At this price for both 4 & 5? I'll bite at this price, just one problem. Don't have 1-3 yet... That price isn't bad either. Well played Anuman. Well played indeed.

Anuman has a bit of a track record for delivering low quality adventure shovelware. Is this game different?

That's OK, I also do it, but there comes a time where no more excuses can be made. And Daedelic have spotted their reputation too many times by now for me to still make excuses for them.

From what I understand. this one is not exactly on par with the first trilogy or even Dracula 4: Shadow of the Dragon (which wasn't as good as the first three, to begin with), but, hey!, I'm more than willing to give it a try! :P

Let's make it closer to soon then soonish because I've just finished BS 4 (I wasn't impressed but it was definitely better than BS 3 - The Sleeping Sokoban, uhm, Dragon) so I'll start Blackwell right now :D

XenSavage: heh, that was "oh well, i'll have to ping Support for this one", i've created a ticket to clarify what will happen with such keys. But yeah, generally you're right (although i don't consider it as stolen, i'm pretty sure GOG guys just haven't though about it. I know i probably wouldnt't:))
I think what happened is with the combining of games it became a new product. So the old key was for product X, which they no longer carry, now its product Y. I think we will just have to wait and see what happens on support's end. Though it was a surprise, as I was waiting to redeem the code until I had more time.

What a pleasant surprise to wake up to! Thank you GOG and Microids / Anuman Interactive! I just got Dracula 4 here not long ago on a promo or something to start my collection of the Dracula titles so this is a great bonus! I don't have Dracula 1-3 yet, but they're on my wishlist now to fill out the series in the future as well! Many thanks again!

A bit late, but I wouldn't exactly call this collection "low quality shovelware".

Granted, the latest Dracula games are not on par with the Dracula Trilogy, but I don't think Anuman Interactive deserves that description.

Would you be so kind to provide some example-games to support your comment, please?
