IAmSinistar: Speaking of tablet-esque game sequels, is there a standalone version of Kingdom Rush Frontiers? If there is a proper PC version, that would be nice to have on GOG too.
avatar
Grargar: Nothing so far.
Ah, thanks. Maybe down the line they'll make the jump.

JudasIscariot: You can but you don't have to :)

HypersomniacLive: Cheers. :-)

And since you're on now, could you please clarify why you're not doing the updates anymore and why Hetman is not posting in the "What did just update" thread?
I am on vacation :)

Matruchus: Eh, I really can't get in to these flash like/android/iphone games. Hoping really for some older strategy game to come to gog. Just saw that Steam rereleased a strategy classic - wonder when that game comes here?

Niggles: Website says *remastered version*.Never heard of this game.
Basically it was one of the first 2D RTS strategy games that enabled you to play with formations where units had different tactical moduses that you could use in order to win against enemy troops. Its true though that its first retail release was quite buggy (probably why you never heard about the game) which was though later patched out :) What remastered means with this game is that all the buggs are gone and that the developer added hd support and windows 8 support and improved multiplayer and that's basically it. Also if you look at [url=http://store.steampowered.com/app/318650/]Steam reviews for the game - they are all positive and as curiosity there are already people there asking for a gog release so im not the only one and the developer does wan't to get it released here :) Basically anybody who played C&C games will love SunAge its just old school strategy game.

Adding a few pictures of my old retail box of the game.

There was a standalone android version that was part of a humble bundle a while back. There is a steam pc version in the works. http://www.ironhidegames.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4639

A GoG version will likely depend on how well the original sold here.

Max_R: You were G(ood)O(ld)G(ames).com!
Steam is actually better and this is a shame!

gamesfreak64: steam better ? let me think ...

1.2.3.... uh nope i dont think steam is better, steam products requiere steam to be installed even if you play offline... so every windows you buy will be filled with that steam junk messing up that poor windows :D

i take drm free anytime :D
these games i can play on all pc/windows .... no need to transfer stuff if you had to buy a new windows or hardware :D

drm sux bigtime ....

just bought the game i loved the fist one also have it...

BRAVELAND WIZARD € 5.59 € 4.59

GOG is still good old games cause most sites also offer some old titles (usually with drm) and who says those versions will work on any windows? GOG versions work :D

i think GOG is smart, good old games still the best but when there is not much available its a good practice to aquire some other nice games, if those have to be casuals or indies, fine to me.

new games can be GOGs at the end , if they get a chance
not all GOGs have to be born as DOS games :D

I have joined gamersgate for the casual games i have 50 or 60 already ( these arent on etail cd yet thats why i bought them at GG)
most older casuals i have, like 300 cd or so :D
and some collection dvd with special editions these are good price at 6 tot 8 euros a CD

I had tons of games in the old days now i have those old games plus a bunch of casuals.
Except 3d first person and lookalikes, andd 3d games in general, thats just not my game type...
Yeah yeah
Seriusly: I love GOG, I have about 400 titles here if I remember well. What's the problem? Regarding the oldies Steam is ACTUALLY doing better. For the Indie the best thing to do (for me) is wait for Bundles to pay 1/5$ for a lot of games. GOG for Indies is inconvenient. My previous words would be motivational. I'm waiting for a lot of other titles, here, non on Steam, 'cause I prefere GOG.

Now I hope that the point may be clear for all.

Wishbone: Also, the mobile version costs $2.41 (for me). What did porting the game to PCs add to the game that suddenly makes it worth $7?
How about Windows, Mac and Linux compatibility? ;)

And how about playing it on a bigger screen instead of being locked to your mobile screen device or keeping it on an usb key ;)

You're absolutely right, American bullying is a much more effective way of securing franchises and publishers.

In Tortuga Team's case, I think the reason for the delayed release was simply the Winter Sale though.

i think i read 90% at least in review on pc gameplay (belgium/dutch magazine)

i bought my 1st magzine when i didnot even had a pc.
i think it was issue 1997
Now its 2014 , so imagine how many nrs i bought in those past years, ofcourse its impossible to keep all the magazines so i had to throw a lot of those away, every 3 years or so i clean up the oldest ones tera them apart and dump them in the papercontainer.

Resident Evil Series: i have 2 and 3 on retail cd personally i think the later versions (true FPP 3d games, were not my cup of tea, i liked the isometric view from above better)

Ofcourse these game wont work (thank you nvidia) properly , its mostly a graphics issue
like gorky17, that cant be played in the 3d mode so you have to use the software rendering and that is bad.

EOTB i lke these and had them on c64 and amiga

1,2 and 3 those i want to have at least, if there were any 3d fpp then i wont add these , i think non 3d games can have a certain 'personality"
in 3d its just a3d engine who has another skin on it basically its the same.

Jagged alliance the classics are best, the 3d remakes s?x ...
and it seems a lot of gamers and reviewer share the same opinion

Never ever 3d a classical game that has been a hit.

Flashback original: i like to see that one with the old graphics (amiga version had smoothes ones)
there's a new 3d one but... its bad

30? thats 20 years difference

you started very early with all these games, the 1st games in my time were quite expensive compared to now.
well i cant beat that amount of games ... you really have loads and loads of games i never get that amount

I still need to play more then 80% of the games i bought.
It's more buy now play later for me... especially with all those sales, every site has sales

Not really.
they have terrible support on old games and they only give refund once.
And dont even get me started on response to questions or posting in threads.
they migth respond on a chance 8% out of 100 %
