This reminds me Metroid Prime.

ShadowWulfe: This looks cool, is it made by the same people as Magrunner?
Not at all, this one's an indie game that started out as a student project, downloadable for free (see link by other posters above).

I've played through the free version and liked it, even though it had some rough spots that combined with the (lack of) savegame system caused some minor frustrations. I'm quite curious about this new version as the screenshots prove that they improved a lot on the NPC graphics and such. I wonder how much difference there is in story and gameplay though and whether it would be enough to pay $10+ and play through it again (same dilemma as with The Stanley Parable ...). For anyone who hasn't played it yet, it's definitely worth a look though. (Well, since I haven't played this version yet, I can't say how well it works as a commercial title; but the devs deserve some money anyway. ;) )

I have to say I'm not a huge fan of first-person perspective games (who am I kidding? I play a lot of first-person adventures for years, now, I guess I should just say first-person SHOOTERS, which this one clearly -- and fortunately -- isn't), but this one has me quite interested.

Onto the ever-growing GOG wishlist pile you go, A Story About My Uncle! :-P
It reminds me of Montezuma's Return...
Two indies in one week, and both incredibly intriguing. Yes, this one's a platformer, but a first person platformer is quite a twist. It looks like what you say it is; a platformer-adventure. I'm a little broke right now, but both of these releases (this one and Paper Sorceror) are must buys, as well as testaments to how "indie game" really can mean innovative and interesting. These games hearken back to the days when most games were done by either one or a small group of developers.
Remember, even Akalabeth and Ultima (the original California Pacific edition) were technically "indie" games when they were introduced.

PaterAlf: Just in case anyone is interested: Here's a link to the old freeware version of the game:

Thanks for the link! Will see how the free version is first! (at some point!)

What are the differences between the two versions? Only an improvement of all the features?
Nice Release! The game looks interesting, i might grab it in the future. Wishlisted. :)
very interesting concept, graphics look great but don't know if it is for me
Reminds me a little bit of Mirror's Edge, but with a fantasy environment. Looks like something i may enjoy, i like platformers, i like first person games and i like exploration and adventures.
