Keyboard + Mouse.
(Random input device just for fun, but nowhere near used as the main device)
Not a fan of game-pads. The only one I ever liked was that beefy oversized analogue+dpad one that came with the Saturn (not the standard one, horrid!). Sadly, there was only one major (AFAIK) PC based design rip-off, and I never saw them for sale here in Aus.
The Xbox 360 controller is fantastic for use on the PC. I always use it for console emulation.
Generally I am a fan of a typical mouse/keyboard setup, especially for FPS and RTS games there is no contender. I have a great joystick for use with space simulators like TIE Fighter, unfortuntately it's not USB and I can't use it with my current PC. It's an old Saitek AceMaster 8.

Keyboard - MS Natural Keyboard Elite
Mouse - MS Intellimouse Explorer 3 USB
Joystick - No longer have one
Pad - Xbox 360 USB controller for windows bought specifically to play the driving games that will be released on GoG.
-IBM Model M 1391401 (I don't think I'll ever have to replace this keyboard, maybe except for one of the slightly smaller Unicomp models.)
-Logitech G5 2005 (single thumb button; I'd like the extra thumb button on newer models, but it still gets the job done)
-Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar with FCC mod (Unfortunately, someone damaged the stick portion, so I have to hold off from flight sims for now.)
-Thrustmaster RCS with +HS kit installed
-NaturalPoint TrackIR 4 Pro (Nothing raises immersion and situational awareness in a supported game quite like this.)
-Spacetec SpaceOrb 360 (Best Descent controller EVER. I'd also use it in Independence War and any other game with 6DoF movement, but having only six buttons in addition to the orb hinders control possibilities at times.)
-Xbox 360 wireless gamepad (It feels very nice and works great in XInput-compliant games, but the D-Pad sucks and the stock drivers lack flexibility for DirectInput.)
-Xbox Controller S (With XBCD drivers, it's a much better gamepad DirectInput-wise than the X360 pad on stock MS drivers. The D-Pad is also more tolerable. Unfortunately, there aren't any buttons above the triggers mapped to black and white, and the black and white face buttons aren't aligned with A/B/X/Y, which makes it feel very wrong when I want to play a game designed around A/B/C/X/Y/Z pads.)
-Steel Battalion control panel and pedals (I'm thinking a bit about trying MechWarrior 2 with it, but it doesn't help that no one's compiled VTCHID drivers that work under Vista x64.)
As you can see, I'm a control freak. I've probably spent about as much on input devices as I have on the actual PC I use them with.
Also, if anyone wants a nice flight stick and rudder pedals, I'm trying to sell my CH Products Fighterstick and Pro Pedals (both USB versions). They're good devices, but I just prefer the feel of the Thrustmaster gear.
KB-Mouse = Logitech brand
Gamepad = X360 Gamepad for Windows.
Depending on the game style and what it's really been built around, I'll have to see what I like.
For example, I play FPS's better with KB-mouse.
For platformers (like Psychonauts and Tomb Raider: Anniversary), I'll take the control pad.
For GTA-style games (GTA games, True Crime NYC, Mafia), I use a control pad when driving. When on foot, I'm using KB/mouse. I will switch b/t the two basically when the character is entering or exiting a vehicle.
For racing games (NFS series), I use a gamepad.
For action-adventures/survival horror games (think Silent Hill series or Res Evil series), the KB/mouse is not too great b/c there's no mouselook. You're better off with a control pad, since the game itself supports a lock-on targeting system.
Keyboard: Logitech G15 Gaming keyboard
Mouse: Logitech MX Revolution Cordless Laser mouse
Gamepads: Xbox 360 wired controller
PSX dual shock controller with USB adapter
N64 Controller with USB adapter
Keyboard: Saitek Eclipse (The classic)
Mouse: Microsoft Habu (The MS collaboration with Razer, really nice bit of kit)
Joystick: Saitek AV8R (Just arrived this morning, not too sure about it yet.)
Gamepad: Thrustmaster Firestorm Dual Analog (I'd happily recommend it!)
Keyboard: My Laptops(don't have enough space for a seperate one yet)
Mouse: Razer Diamondback
Joystick: Saitek X-45 HOTAS (Ordered off ebay, should come in tomorrow, so I haven't actually tried it yet)
Gamepad: XBox 360 wired controller (stock drivers, since XBCD seems to be dead)
Oh, and Nameless, how much do you want for the pedals?

Keyboard: I am a firm believer in ergonomic models. They feel more comfortable to me. I use the Microsoft Natural
Mouse: Mouse is something I cheap out on. As long as it's large and meaty enough for my hand and has enough buttons, I really don't care. I recommend one of Logtiech or Microsofts budget optical mice.
Controller: This is a interesting choice one. I actually have two: one is a simple controller with a dpad and 4 face buttons, a $5 little thing from Saitek. It does it's job and it's comfortable (it has long handles). For a dual-analogue controller I just use the Logitech dual action.
I'm using the logitech G11 (which is the G15 without the LCD screen, as i figured i dont really have a use for it) and the G5 mouse (2005). seems alot of u have a similar set up on here :)
I ended up getting them for a steal off ebuyer, and im really glad i did! its a shame that all the times ive upgraded/ shelled out for a new pc i'd never really considered how important a good keyboard and mouse were. its seriously worth at least £20 on either, just think of how often you use them! I had them about 2 years ago and they cost me £45 in total. money well spent!

Revenantactual: Oh, and Nameless, how much do you want for the pedals?

Unfortunately, I didn't see this post until now.
I'd try to strike a deal with you on the pedals if not for one thing-I listed them with the Fighterstick on eBay last night. Therefore, if you want them, you'll have to eat the cost of an extra flight stick.
I don't feel like trying to split them up right now and eating listing fees without selling the product. You'll just have to hope that no one bids, in which case I'll try selling them seperately (and you have the first shot at the pedals should that happen).
Oh, and these forums REALLY need a PM system. Things like this are much better suited to PMs than public threads.

I'll Second you on the PM thing. As for the pedals, don't worry about it, I was interested, but unfortunately, I just had an unexpected bill come up, so I don't think I'm going to be able to afford them right now after all.
I'd definately recommend the 360 Controller. If you've already got a bunch for the 360 around and are willing to lay down some cash for a USB hub to power it, I'd recommend the 360 Wireless Receiver. Also, lay down $20 for Pinnacle Game Profiler. It lets me add controller support for things like the HL2 mod Age of Chivalry (much easier with a 360 controller) and ToCA Race Driver 3.
