menganogog: Download Dragonfall!

I haven't play Shadowrun returns but I have intended it is not necessary and don't worth like Dragonfall. It is true?
No it is not necessary and Shadowrun:Dragonfall is considered a big step forward compared to Shadworun Returns, looking at story and gameplay.

I own both games,
My vote goes to "Directors cut"
Wasteland 2 is pretty meh! and Shadow run is also in the same catagory.

joriandrake: I believe they share the same tutorial or so, but the Dragonfall story is a separate story from the main one, although VERY slightly hinted at it in the Dragonfall campaign.

Dragonfall plays in Shadowrun's anarchic Berlin/Germany, while the other played somewhere in the US if I recall right.

Shadowrun Returns is decent. But...that's all i can say. Not many memorable characters, but still sets a mean mood. Dragonfall brings the story, the soundtrack and a party that you actually end up caring about. I'd still wouldn't discard a playthrough of Shadowrun Returns.

As for Wasteland 2...good gameplay, not much of a story, but nice choices and consequences system, a ton of bugs, nice mood. Maybe in a couple of months, when the desert sand settled, it will be finally the game that everyone wanted to be.

shoveling: I backed Wasteland 2 and I will not play it in its current state... even though I own it.

So my vote is against Wasteland 2.
avatar
joriandrake: please elaborate on why this negativity
Sure. There is no real balance or character building. So I can not get interested enough to play and find all the bugs lol.

glad you like it, PM me if you have problems to "Install" it, but it is pretty simple as you basically just pick a player avatar that you dislike and overwrite it

It isn't albino, more like white/silver hair, wante to make something like an elven "chosen" (Targaryen and similars from other settings) ...heh, one could even call him a newly awakened Drow (unsure if there were any drows in Earthdawn), and I choose turquoise, green, or ice blue as his (and siblings) eye color

I think Dragonfall is the right choice for now, although don't discard the other one. The reason I had to choose was I wanted a futuristic rpg ( apocalyptic or cyberpunk is ok to me) and one fantastic. In this field, I'm waiting for a good deal in Divinity: original sin (looks amazing), but I don't think that happen in this Big Fall Sales:(

I think you choose well then, especially if you mix magical and cyber use with your character as I did :)

If I recall correctly, I had my character focus on persuasion skills, sword fighting, handguns, hacking, evasion, and melee supporting magic. It was a while ago, so I am not sure how exactly I leveled.

Just be careful, having implants in you means you won't be able to use too many spells properly, so you have to read up on that if you want to avoid problems I guess, or just experiment

Have fun playing!

Yes, you are right. To be albino he should be white at all (skin and hair). But I actually like the portrait, mostly the contrast between colour of the hair and eyes. It give him a cold and astute way of looking.

Well, I tried to find the ideal image pieces for something like that anyway, like a very observant and silent character, or just a poker face :)

In the end, a visor looked good in the very first version I guess (where the face is also different), but not so much in the new version

I think I'm going to create one character to experiment some builds and then adjust to my taste. Normally, it is my way in rpgs.

Have fun playing!

Thanks you!
