etna87: From what I've read, the most recent expansion Albion Prelude is not worth it so far, because of some removed quests, performance problems and because of the incompatibility with many mods/scripts (most of the additions are reworked community mods/scripts which are available for TC).
Though you can get Terran conflict & Albion prelude together for just 5€ more than just Terran Conflict. And all of Egosofts games have been buggy on release. When you release such complex games, that is to be expected, and they have been good at patching their games. For 40€ you will get every X-game done to date, in the form of the superbox (if you buy a retail superbox and register it on steam, the Albion prelude will be added to your steam list, even though the superbox pre-dates Albion prelude.
Also, if you want economics simulators, have you checked out Capitalism? I've only played Capitalism plus, but I thought it was a rather good game.
I've also heard a lot of good about Cities in motion. It is a game about public transportation, where the goal is to make public transportation as profitable as possible. They released a collection of the base game and all DLC not too long ago.
I don't know about you, but I think Hot dogs, Hot Girls looks a lot more interesting...
