forgiving them for what? every singe on of their major releases since Lost Planet 1 has gotten a PC release, sure RE5 was racist as all hell and a major back step in mechanics but most of the people responsible for that aren't with Capcom anymore.

the only things to be mad at Capcom about (to my thinking) is the mass cancellation of Mega Man titles (which I didn't really give a shit about since the IP has become saturated) and SSF4 not coming to PC ... but come on, SF4 on PC was something of a fundamental failure since Fighting Games are about the one and only game type that natively plays like shit on the Keyboard and mouse.

I guess there is the whole GFWL thing, but I personally don't care about it and prefer it to their releases being Steam ... obviously no service provider is better than anything but if it has to have one I'll take GFWL over Impulse & Steam any day. *shrug* at least we are getting something ....

Huh? I've been playing SSFIV: AE on PC all this while.
I use an arcade stick and Logitech gamepad to play it SFIV and SSFIV just fine. And they're pretty much plug and play no Xpadder emulation needed. And one of these guys used a keyboard to play:

... dude, you've never played fighting games on a keyboard? It's NOT as difficult as you might think... Just ask all the Mugen players.

DRM on SSFIV: AE? They dropped the offline character restriction after complaints from the players. I play offline with all characters just fine now.
Also Dead Rising 2 is great on the PC.

Anyway when is Resident Evil gonna go back to its roots? Resident Evil 1 is still one of my most memorable games ever.

probably not to the roots, but closer to RE4 than 5.

it got multiple story lines: a Leon play through, a Chris play through, a play through with some new dude, and at the least one more play through that gets unlocked after you finish the other three where you play as Ada Wong.

notable side character so far: that Ashly chick from RE4 (but with who they have for the cast so far I wouldn't doubt there will be at least a cameo by Clair ... at least I hope so, she was always my favorite character).

P.S. I didn't even know that SSF4 got a PC release! as for criticizing the PC release of fighting games: limited pool of online players VS console versions, inefficient local multiplayer, KB + Mouse is inferior to a game pad or arcade stick with these type of games. all in all fighting games are the one type game I think is best fit for the consoles, but it's not the only game type that is better played with a peripheral than the standard KB+M (thinking of flight sims and joysticks specifically) so to each their own.

Sadly, I got no interest in the new RE gameplay direction. If they bring back the true survivor horror gameplay of the first 2 RE games, I'm definitely buying.

Well, try not to think of PC Gaming as restricted to keyboard and mouse only. I've been using gamepads on PC for games since 1994 so I see the PC as a really flexible platform. And fighting games are no problem for the PC since they have the old Streetfighters and Mortal Kombat 1&2 on PC back then.

There are quite a few things to forgive them for. First, they completely killed Mega Man franchise after its original creator left, they canceled Megaman Legends 3, which fans have been asking for a very long time, and they canceled that Megaman Universe (an online title, MMO like). They totally screwed up RE franchise as well, RE5 was a joke compared to the previous games. And then they release that shitty RE Mercenaries 3D charging you 40 dollars for almost no content at all.

Did i mention they fucked up Lost Planet too? Yep, Lost PLanet 2 killed the franchise. Oh, and Dead Rising 2? They screwed that up as well by handing over development to another studio. Do you expect anything good from RE Operation RC? Well i dont, Slant 6 is making it, they were the ones that made the terrible SOCOM Confrontation.

Ahhh i almost forgot. They also like to rip off custommers on their fighting games. Yep, they release a new edition every year just to add a few characters and maps. But thats nowhere near as ridiculos as SF3 (i think its SF3, i dont remember exactly) on PSN and Live, where they charge you just for a costume with a different color. And you know the best part about it? Only you can see it, when youre playing online, no one you see your new outfit unless they own the DLC too.

You know what, CAPCOM makes Activion look like the best company ever.
