Rango is an excellent movie. Almost anyone can enjoy it, and if you're a seasoned film-goer, you'll love it even more. There are knowing nods to plenty of movies, from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas to Star Wars. The visuals have this unique, beautifully-ugly motif that you rarely find in animation these days. The acting and humor are also excellent; sure, the story treads a rather predictable path, but the way it passes through the story will grab your attention. For Industrial Light and Magic's first full-blown animated movie, I'd say it's excellent, and could stand toe-to-toe with a Pixar production any day of the week.

Rango is actually good? The trailers made it seem like it was slightly more fun than getting a lobotomy in Liberia. That's what you get when you try to pander to kids I guess.

That describes the trailer for just about every other CG trailer before the movie. While Rango has a few stupid kid jokes, the majority of the humor is pretty intelligent.

well i saw rango last night was good indeed saw paul a week earlier and was the very definition of awesome plus if u can see drive angry is good
