Two problems:
Rainbow Six 1 refuses to run no matter what I try. Anyone have any luck running it on a Vista laptop with ATI graphics?
Same for Raven Shield. I REALLLLLLLLY want to try it out since I heard it's awesome.

Is this the GOG version of Rainbow Six?
I remember having a lot of trouble getting Raven Shield to run in XP but I can't remember the fix I used. Shall see if I can dig up my copy later & try to get it running in Win7

No, it's the CD version (Thanks Half Priced Books). I tried a demo and it wouldn't run, bought the game because, well, it was a $1. Pass that up, would you?
Raven Shield works on XP, I've played it before. Same goes for the first one.
Tried compatibility mode?

Same here... I remember having trouble with Raven Shield early on in Vista, but it eventually fixed itself somehow, probably driver related.
Nope, compatibility mode and the latest patch just gave me a giant FU in the form of the second opening cutscene and an error message.

Typical shit. "name of executable file" has encountered a problem and has stopped working. Windows is looking for a solution.
I would look closely at seeing if it a driver issue. Operating systems often get blamed for driver issues.
Well I just got around to installing Raven Shield on my Win7 machine, it installed perfectly fine, I had to redownload the 1.6 patch but then that went on okay, I used the fixed exe & DLL replacement to remove the CD check and it runs perfectly.
