It was an fps shooter back around the days of the ATI X800 days It was a freedom fighters kind of game where you controlled a pet rat with a camera on it to go places and spot out enemies and had a team with you. I believe it was running on the source engine if I was not mistaken.

It's been bugging me for a year now and cant for the life of me find anything on google about it. :(

Maybe someone on here knows what I am talking about????? You had a rat as a playable character with a camera on it that was the stand out of the game.

First thing that popped into my head was the game Devastation, which had rats that you could use like little suicide bombers or something.

Sounds like a part you have to go through in the RPG, Dragon Age Origins.
