tjbaxter: Question, what is everyone's favorite Bullfrog Productions developed game?
Mine is definitely Dungeon Keeper
Magic Carpet (Plus), easily. A perfect combination of trigger-happy shooter with light real-time strategic gameplay. Magic Carpet 2 is mostly more of the same, which is ok I guess.
I have a love-hate relationship with
Dungeon Keeper. I have hard time trying to make up my mind whether I love it or hate it. With Magic Carpet I don't have such a problem, I've always loved it from start to finish.
Theme Hospital... I don't know why, but I felt like playing with a dollhouse when I selected what kinds of plants I put where in the waiting hall. I guess I'll have to give a more proper try later. For some reason I prefer combat and mayhem in my strategic/tactical games, business simulations etc. hardly ever do it to me for some reason. Unfortunately Roller Coaster Tycoon had the same effect on me, and I was always looking forward to play it... fortunately it is fully optional to design your own rollercoasters, I rather use the pre-made ones. Too lazy to design and test my own rollercoasters, feels too much like my real daytime work.
(I played Rise of Nations Gold yesterday, noticed that it was around 3:05AM, oops better go to sleep... I guess I'm hooked, even if it mainly feels like Age of Empires on steroids. But that's a good thing, right?)
