01. I received the Realms of Arkania 1+2 reward for taking the survey earlier this month. Thing is, that's not why I took the survey and I have absolutely zero interest in the game. My question is, can I just give it away? The eMail reads:

"Your gift certificate [REDACTED] contains: Realms of Arkania 1+2. [Open "Redeem" page] ...to redeem your gift certificate and add above games to your account."

Will the "[Open "Redeem" page]" button automatically put the title in My Games or do I have to redeem it by using what I assume is a code omitted from this post? If the latter, can anyone redeem the game by using the code? I wouldn't ask, but the "code" I left out doesn't look like a standard gift code.

02. Do gifts expire if not redeemed after a certain time? If I purchased games now to give away on Christmas, would those codes expire between now and then?

The code can be redeemed by anyone. Mine says: "Expires on: September 1, 2013", so yours should be the same I guess. If you want to give the game to someone else, just give them the code from the email and they should be able to redeem it on the "Redeem gift" page on gog.

I realize that's just a for instance, but GOG tends to have Christmas sales; unless you've got a specific reason, Christmas giveaways might be better bought near Christmas in the hope that the games would go on sale.
But, no. Gift codes don't have an expiration date within reasonable bounds. A few months, at least, and they're still good. A year? Dunno.
