Thanks to agreement with PushButton Labs, we're proud to bring back the legendary puzzle-game series, The Incredible Machine! “We are incredibly excited to be able to bring back the Incredible Machine series through GOG.com,” said Jeff Tunnell Managing Partner at PushButton Labs and the co-designer of the original series. “It has felt great to let audiences new and old rediscover the great grandfather of physics puzzle games”. The pack offered on GOG.com includes: The Even More Incredible Machine, The Incredible Machine 3, Return of the Incredible Machine Contraptions, and The Incredible Machine – Even More Contraptions all in one and just $9.99!
Hmmm...I wonder what other games they have in their catalog...

Its been more than half an hour, that must be a LONG list
Hey, he didn't say he'd make his findings public... Of course, he could do that out of kindness, but you can't expect him to do so.

Well, I actually couldn't find any PushButton Labs entry in Mobygames...but when I looked at Dynamix's (the developer of TIM, and some of their guys co-found PushButton Labs) list...well, it's quite long indeed. Some highlights: Betrayal at Krondor, Red Baron series, and Starsiege Tribes.

And then there's Dynamix's other legacy, GarageGames, which is building up quite a library, and is a publisher in their own right.
They have a good selection of games under their belt . Betrayal at Krondor is one that looks certainly would be an intersting one to get here but that maybe upto Raymond E Feist ? on name just trying to rember off top of my head.
The company has certainly been on the go a long time even spectrum and cmmodor 64 games they have made and 2 for the atari st that i can remember.
I will be interesting to see all that pushbutton labs have the rights too and well done to them and gog for releasing the incrediable machine.
I really would like to know how they got the rights from Vivendi, who was still using TIM back in 2k6 on mobile phones, and was even planning a XBLA and PSN release of the game.

It's possible they sold the rights to develop versions of the game on other systems, but retained the rights to the PC version.
It does seem like Activision Blizzard/Vivendi has been selling a lot of old IPs lately, which is good for us. Rebellion bought these old Impressions-titles, GarageGames (which I think is semi-related to Pushbutton) bought Tribes, and now there's this. I wonder what other IPs have found their way out of ActiBlizz' pockets and into companies willing to sell them on GOG.
Blue's News has posted a press release from PushButton Labs, about their acquisition of the TIM IP. Click here or read below in its entirity:
PushButton Labs announces acquisition of The Incredible Machine intellectual property and series
Original game co-designer reclaims full property rights to the classic physics puzzle game franchise
Eugene, OR – October 1st, 2009 - Today, PushButton Labs, L.L.C. announced that it has acquired the rights to The Incredible Machine intellectual property in its entirety. The classic physics & puzzle game franchise originally debuted in 1992 and was later followed by several successful sequels selling millions of units.
“TIM was a genre defining franchise and I could not be happier to have the property available to PushButton Labs. I’m very excited to see what we can do with it moving forward.” said PushButton Labs co-founder Jeff Tunnell, who was the original co-game designer of The Incredible Machine.
Considered by some to be the grandfather of the Physics & Puzzle game genres, The Incredible Machine pitted players against a series of Rube Goldberg style devices which were composed from a wide range of objects such as ropes & pulleys, bowling balls, and even cats and mice.
The Incredible Machine was the winner of several prizes due to its innovative style and simulation abilities. A spin-off of the series, Sid & Al's Incredible Toons earned Jeff Tunnell and Chris Cole a patent for their game design concepts.
To mark the reacquisition of the property on a happy note, PushButton Labs has placed t of the newly Windows XP/Vista compatible Incredible Machine series for sale on the Good Old Games Website (GOG.com). The series is available for sale at the time of this release and can be found online at: http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/the_incredible_machine_mega_pack
In addition to his work on The Incredible Machine, Tunnell is well known within the gaming industry for successfully co-founding several gaming companies, including Dynamix in 1984 where famous franchises such as Starsiege: Tribes, Trophy Bass, and the 3D Ultra product line were developed. In 2001, Tunnell and partner Rick Overman co-founded GarageGames, makers of the Torque Game Engine and the Marble Blast series, leaving in 2008 to form PushButton Labs.

Cool find, thanks for sharing!
Also, it's very nice of them that they gave the green flag about the IP to GOG the day they got it. Maybe they agreed on it as soon as they knew they'd have the game under their wings.
