ceemdee: Actually it was preparing the image that was the most difficult (a lot of trial and error). To compensate for the curvature of the pumpkin the outline actually looked something like this:
That only makes it more of a technical achievement than I first thought. That is a thought though. You could use something like the pinch/punch Photoshop filter on the stencils before you print them out.

Whenever cutting anything, clean corners are always what I find most difficult. In other words, I'd never undertake something like that as I know only too well what the results would be. :D
