Can I gift a game after I've purchased it? Some games I seem to have acquired as part of a bundle deal but only wanted one or two for myself to play. I was wondering if I could turn the others which I have not downloaded/played into redeemable gifts. It would be a nice option to have if it isn't currently available. Obviously once a game is downloaded gifting would be impossible.

Once a game shows up on a game shelf it is keyed to that account and can not be transferred. If you have not downloaded it yet, then there is a 30 day money back guarantee. Similarly, if you have downloaded it and cannot get it to run on a computer that meets the requirements in a game card, you can ask for a refund. However, to gift a game the game must be in a gift-code, that is the game must have been marked as a gift during checkout. Generally a person selects the option to make it a gift at checkout and enters their own email address as the recipient, so they then are free to give the key to anyone they choose at a later date; as purchased gift codes never expire. Multiple games purchased in one checkout are on the same gift code, by the way, and are redeemed all at the same time.

If you haven't downloaded it and bought it yourself, you can write to support and ask them to put it on a gift certificate - but don't wait! Do it asap! ;-)

But it's unclear from your post that you paid for the game yourself - if you got it from another source and did not pay for it directly, I doubt support will grant your request...but you can ask - it couldn't hurt ;-)

Any games that were part of GOG.com bundles you bought here can not be returned under the 30-day guarantee piecemeal, it's either all the games in the bundle, or none at all. That's for returns.

As for gifting, no such function exists on the site yet, but might be kind of cool. If it's not already there, you can create that wish (to be able to gift/or give away purchased games) in the Site Features wishlist that you can find here:

I really doubt that they would implement such a feature, but you never know. Also, if you decide to keep the game on your account, but don't want it to show up on your shelf, there is also the "Hide Game" button in the library that should hide games you don't want to see, but it will still be attached to your account.

If you buy games as a gift in a bundle you can't separate the keys. You either have to take all the games or gift all the games. There is a way around this but its tricky. If you or the person you gift the games to already has certain games those games will not be removed from the gift code. For example I had a gift code with two games on it, but the person I was sending it to already had one, so when they redeemed it showed that the gift is partially redeemed and I still have one game. Its just a matter of finding someone who you can match up with, easier said than done. Hope this helps.
