Just got scammed twice today by "fellow" GOGers. I didn't think to search the classifieds for their user name before giving out the serial key. So please everyone learn from my mistake. And if you make a bad trade--please write about it in the classifieds thread.

couple questions for GOG team:
1. why can't i see how long a user has been active from pm? and you can't search for posts created by a user so there is no way to look up user info unless you happen upon a thread that they posted in.
2. why are people who are continually marked as scammers allowed to keep their accounts?
just in case the scammers were hoping to trade with the keys, here are they are, glhf

Sucks that you got scammed, although thanks for giving out the keys. (The HiB2 one has been taken, hopefully it was a ninja and not the scammer. Don't know about 3.) We've had a lot of scammers around here lately.

@Licurg: no, but 1. HIBs are pwyw... keep an eye on their sales? and 2. you should use the classified thread (http://www.gog.com/forum/general/classifieds)

@Gazoinks: yeah, I've had nothing but good experiences before but all of a sudden twice in one day :(

Sorry to hear that you got scammed. You can find out how much rep they have just from their username, assuming they have posted on the forums. If they have not, I'd say that's a red flag.

For example, I can find you this way, shazaam5:

[url=http://www.google.com/search?q=shazaam5+site:gog.com]http://www.google.com/search?q=shazaam5+site:gog.com[/url]

You can do this with everyone, just replace the username.

I know, but I missed the 5th :P And I can find floating around are Steam keys, which I can't use because I don't use Steam :) And I know about the Classifieds thread LOL :P I just saw since you have a couple, thought you might have this as well.

As a fellow scam victim, I really feel for ya man. I only lost 1 game, but you lost HIB codes; that really sucks. I wonder if it's "the scammer" or another person entirely, now.

Someone should just code a GOG trade site so the community can take all trades, etc., over there As GOG themselves are unlikely to do anything to help in this situation.

I'm open to that, if someone is willing to build and maintain it most definitely...even if it was just for the officiating of the trades only.
