It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

Navagon: What's the name of that codec that damn near every old game used? Vimeo, wasn't it?

If I remember rightly they started asking money just to be able to playback things that used it. Is that one included in that pack?
I think so, but don't know if it's included in the pack. I had a similar issue with Megarace 3 as the one that the OP outlines, and resolved it by installing CCCP. I previously had another codec pack installed, which I needed to uninstall before installing CCCP.
have video card drivers from the creator of your video card installed and try the video output OpenGL.

nmillar: Not sure if this will help with DoxBox based games, but it's always a good idea to have the Combined Community Codec Pack installed.

You're thinking of Indeo.

I'll grab the CCCP anyway, I think. Vimeo was included with the retail version of Constructor. I wonder if the GOG version has the installer for it? I could have a look.

That's the one!

What model laptop do you have? I'm asking because I'm curious if you're using a power management software and what it is.

In any case, could you go into BIOS and see if you can disable either the integrated or the discreet graphics and if that fixes the issue?
unfortunately in bios I have no option to disable one graphic card:(
tried to run new gog games:

last express - dos box, only sound

rayman - dos box, oryginal version sound and graphic:) at least this:)
other versions only sound
While the Tex Murphy games seem to play okay on my desktop, I had similiar issues with Star Rangers 2 intro, no video, but sound.
I saw that a few of these games are working in dos bos only in a small window. Then I see graphic and hear sound. Why?
And how to change a window in dos box?

edit: Wow, AndrewC had right. When I disabled one graphic card (Intel) in control panel some games like (Under a Killing Moon, Pandora Directive, Return to Zork) works fine.
big thanks!

unfortunately Overseer or Last Express still doesnt work. Now there is no sound even.
