The Blackwell Epiphany, the fifth supernatural murder and mystery story in Wadjet Eye Games old-school point-and-click series with classic 2D graphics and a chilling story, is available for pre-order on GOG.com. For $14.99 you'll be getting the game as soon as it launches (approximately April 24), and some amazing goodies, including the extended demo available only on GOG.com!

The Blackwell Epiphany sets the atmosphere: a dead man’s soul cries out against the force of a ferocious blizzard. He cries for help. He cries for answers. Then he screams as he is torn apart like damp tissue paper. This wasn’t the first time, and it won’t be the last. The police are powerless to stop it, so the duty falls to the only ones who can. What force could be so powerful – and so malevolent – that it would destroy the very core of a life in order to get what it wants? Rosa Blackwell and Joey Mallone mean to find out, even if it means risking themselves in the process.

The Blackwell Epiphany comes with some very exciting pre-order exclusive content. For $14.99 You'll be getting an extended demo of the game (available now, only on GOG.com!), a full game soundtrack, video interviews with voice actors Abe Goldfarb (Joey) and Rebecca Whittaker (Rosa) discussing their work on the series, a New York City video tour with series creator Dave Gilbert showing and talking about the real-world locations that inspired the Blackwell games, and virtual invite to the Blackwell Epiphany launch party on the evening of April 24--all of the latter coming soon.
Bought :)

I really liked the other games in the series. When the author started to sell preorders on his site, I asked if he planned to do the same here (as I own the other games here). The reply was negative but it seems he changed his mind.
I have the other Blackwell games on Desura and i will buy this when i can get it for 3 or 4 bucks.

But it's really sad to see that the nice bonus content is pre-order exclusive - this sucks!
" pre-order exclusive content "

Not you too Wadjet eye. Turn back and enter the light again, where you belong.
Sountrack pre-order exclusive? This is not according to GOG standards, I would say. I always thought that the reason to not pirate GOG's games was that the service here is so great and that there are so many goodies like the soundtrack. Turns out, there aren't really. :(

Anyway I almost never or never pre-order.

opticq: To be fair, WEG is doing the same thing on their site: http://www.wadjeteyegames.com/news/blackwell-epiphany-now-available-pre-order/
Personally, it doesn't make a difference where they do it. I think it is wrong to incentivise the purchasing of video games before reviews are released, before people have had an opportunity to consider whether the game is a good one or not, etc. That's just my opinion, however.
I wonder if preorder exclusives will slowly become the standard for bonus contents, on GOG.

Man, that would be sad, but I think and hope that it won't be the norm.
Mandatory instant-buy !!
Looks like I need to finally get around to completing the Blackwell series... hopefully before this debuts.

In the case of new games it's the developer who decides to offer pre-order bonus content. And they usually offer the same extra content in every store. Would you prefer that GOG wouldn't give that stuff to anyone, because they can't give it to everyone for legal reasons.
I was going to pre-order blackwell (because I love the series) but pre-orders are just bad for consumers

I agree that GOG would probably give the soundtrack to everyone. But as you said it doesn't matter what GOG wants when the developer decides. But then for Telikas question it doesn't matter who decides only the decision itself counts.

And for the classics the devs decided that the soundtrack can be included. But now they think that someone will buy the pre-order-crap if only a soundtrack is included which in turn means that the soundtrack must be missing from the normal order.

It just makes the normal order less valuable and may backfire.

I don't know if it will backfire. It's been industry standard for a long time to offer pre-order goodies and it hasn't really affected to sales after the pre-orders. GOG is a rare exception, because they have offered free goodies for everyone when it is possible. Now it isn't unfortunately possible, so it's better that they give bonus stuff at least to some people. Despite all this it's still better than alternative which some German adventure game companies have on Steam. They sell extras like soundtrack as a DLC. GOG sells these same games, but they have refused to go with this DLC crap.
No brainer, insta-preorder... as soon as I finish downloading 50GB of raw measurement data that is - I don't like making any transactions when I download something really big ;) And I think I'll get Mr. Bree+ too but I'm not sure yet

Raw measurement data, now what would that be. Obviously not the digital equivalent of a tape measure. What sort of data, climate, space, oceanographic?

hmm not keen on yet another preorder I've purchased so much recently. Ok GOG try and temp me. Is there a FLAC soundtrack?
