TheCheese33: I especially feel bad for PossessedCow. He collected it all, and diligently ran every game the ARG told him to. And he didn't get chosen.

bansama: Well if it's any consolation, apparently everyone who got all the potatoes have been given the Valve Complete Pack according to the Steam forums.
... I am glad I didn't get the potatoes then, 'cause I already own all those games. >_>
watching someone stream the game its AWESOME buy it if you can or watch someone else play if you cant buy it :D
The Glados@home page now provides us with a unique opportunity - it looks like we get real-time statistics over how many people have activated their copy of Portal 2 on Steam. In the couple of hours since the launch, it appears some 73,000 have activated their game. Which is pretty damn good numbers for a game being released at these hours of the day, and hours before the initially announced release date. No doubt we'll be seeing a lot more activations as the day progresses, reviews are put up, and words start to spread. Hopefully, Valve will keep that site up, so we can keep analyse Portal 2's performance.

I hope GOG will do something like this for the Witcher 2. We rarely get a chance to do meaningful market research these days of digital distribution, and I for one am dying to know how the AAA PC market is really doing.

Edit: Hmm. The number suddenly jumped down to 68K. Maybe what we are seeing is people actually playing the game, not the number of activations? Still interesting. Or it could just be a random number. That would be boring.

I'm kind of relieved if that turns out to be it. I had the potato pack from the first weekened but never bothered with the potato thing. Was really starting to feel i missed something huge but was too lazy to do something about it xD

I guess I still miss half the pack but it's older games or stuff I don't want anyway xD

thats was way back hes playing it now with JOY the game is awesome
ps: he is not fat :D
BTW Portal 2 is awesome.
7 hours of campaign? 35 EUR?

Fuck off!
I'm on chapter 2 now and I just want to say that this game is unbelievably fantastic.
I'm on chapter 7, and it's still keeping itself fresh and fantastic.
It's well paced anyway, at least it's still introducing new elements to the puzzle mechanics and surroundings.

I loled at the store though; looks like they are implementing some of that test stuff from TF2. I wonder if the only way we can get the skins and such by buying it because there's also a trade mechanic.
I'm going to say it right now; this is one of the best things I've ever played.

Doesn't the co-op mode have a different campaign?

Yes it does; quite different I would assume considering you have two sets of portals.
Valve has rewarded loyal potato collectors with a copy of the Valve Complete Pack, including Portal 2.

:o
I like how I was right that the "early" release happened at the same time as other Valve games, midnight, making the whole potato sack thing a pure marketing ploy.

Kotaku actually wrote an article about the scam, which I find amazing. A journalist questioning Valve, the holy father of beauty? Insanity!
