IShoot4lolz: Personally, I think New Zealand is the most Beautiful country in the world. I went there a few years ago and it is absolutely breathtaking.

JinseiNGC224: Funny you should say that as I considered moving there. There's so much untouched nature there, still, compared to most other countries. The low population compared to the countries size also probably helps keep both crime and nature pollution to a minimum, though I'd imagine it has it's few dark corners. I'd still consider moving there, but I know they're very strict as to who they let in to live. They only let in people who are beneficial to the society, such as maybe doctors, teachers, and needed labor workers I would imagine. Being in the healthcare field I'd probably fit in nicely. Oh, and they don't like overweight people. You have to make sure your healthy too and a good body size (I'm considered a little under the weight "average" I believe).
It's also funny that you mention that, because I'm actually considering moving there as well. I meet the career requirement nicely (Chemist). And I should meet the weight category too, as I'm about the same as you describe yourself. Also, nice avatar, Tenant was my favorite doctor by far!

If we're talking most beautiful countries in the world now I have to stand up for my USA. We're insanely diverse, so you get whatever style you're looking for, and tons of our country is still largely untouched, giving you the ultimate nature experience.

One reason people in the US rarely travel abroad (outside of money) is the fact there is so much to see here.

Asbeau: I wonder if there's any country that's so ugly it couldn't make a beautiful promo video?
You know, I had this one down. I was all about throwing a name out there that everyone knows and nobody - I mean *nobody* - can think of a single good thing to say about, then went to go fact-check myself right quick. Dammit. take a [url=http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/Jy40Tpa1MXk/hqdefault.jpg]quick at these [url=http://37.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lhcdisQwAk1qdcasso1_500.jpg]beautiful landscapes. In a country where I've had hundreds of friends and coworkers go and never say *one good thing* about it. Where?

Frickin' Somalia. Who knew?

JinseiNGC224: Was watching random video game trailers on YouTube and this video randomly popped up on the rightside list:

Poland sure is beautiful :)

And if it wasn't for the rooftops and some other differences, I would've thought it was my home area of New England :D

I thought this might also be a good video to introduce possible employee's to the country, seeing GOG did have job offers in the recent past. They should have a video on their "for hire" page, such as this.
I watched this vid while playing the theme of Rohan from the Lord of the Rings :)

Even a Medievalish sounding orchestra can sound quite fitting in a modern comtemperary age.

Did they shoot this video and specifically keep people out of it? There's almost more people around that house at the end than on the city streets in time lapse!
seems like there should be way more people.
The wife and I have seen a few places around the world, through our military and real-world work travels. No matter how lovely / beautiful / breathtaking the scenery, after a while away we still can't help but to feel like Dorothy in her ruby slippers...

The-Business: Syria?
Syria is hands down one of the most amazing countries I've ever visited. The castles are a 10 out of 10 on the epic scale. And the hospitality of the people is second to none.
I'ts heartbreaking to hear of all the war stuff going on, complete tragedy. Can't bear to look at some of the photos of the places that were hit hardest, almost not recognizable. But don't let that fool you, Syria is a beautiful country.
Some history of Poland (966-now) here.

Telika: Meet mister Brassens

It's true, they are nice, all these little villages
All these towns, hamlets, localities, cities
With their castles, their churches, their beaches
They have only one weak point : they are inhabited

They are inhabited by those people who look at
All the rest with contempt, from up their city walls
The race of the bigots, the flag-wavers
The happy imbeciles who were born somewhere
The happy imbeciles who were born somewhere

Damn these sons of their motherlands
Impaled forever up their bell towers
Who show you their towers, their museum, their city halls
Show you their birthplace until they squint

Whether they popped out of Paris, of Rome or of Sète
Or the end of the world, or of Zanzibar
Or even of my ass, they're proud of it, my goodness
The happy imbeciles who were born somewhere
The happy imbeciles who were born somewhere

The sand in which their fragile ostritches
Bury their head, is the softest ever
And as for the air their use to inflate their balloons
Their soap bubbles, it is divine breath

And step by step, here they are, getting worked up
To the point of thinking that the dung produced by
Their horses, even wooden ones, makes everybody else jealous
The happy imbeciles who were born somewhere
The happy imbeciles who were born somewhere

It is not a common place, the one of their birth,
They feel heartfully sorry for those poor unfortunates
Those little clumsy ones who didn't have the presence
The presence of mind to come to existence at their place

When the bell toll over their precarious bliss
Against strangers all more or less barbaric
They pop out of their hole to die at war
The happy imbeciles who were born somewhere
The happy imbeciles who were born somewhere

My God how sweet it would be on the Earth of Men
If we weren't to encounter this incongruous race
This tedious race, which everywhere abounds
The race of people-of-the-land, of local-folks

How beautiful life would be, in all circumstances
If You hadn't pulled out of oblivion all these dimwits
Proofs, quite possibly, of your non-existence :
The happy imbeciles who were born somewhere
The happy imbeciles who were born somewhere
avatar
Telika:
Heh...priceless
What a pack of jaded, cynical critics. Do not pretend that "the happy imbeciles who were born somewhere" are not you yourselves.

The fact that other countries have places of great beauty in no way diminishes Poland's beauty or the excitement of the OP at his discovery.

I mostly agree (even without having visited US), but then you must take into account the size. A better comparison would be e.g. the whole of Europe (e.g. from Nice to Kuusamo to Norwegian fjords). The larger the area, the more diversity there is.

I can certainly understand many Americans not visiting outside US, it is a large area with lots to see, and practically everyone speaks the same language as you. Only the adventurous people need to go outside, like to Europe with its hungry vampires etc.

What are Polish girls like?

Crosmando: What are Polish girls like?
So pretty. Every time I go to someplace in Europe I feel terrible about myself. Depending on where you're at, anywhere from four to seven out of ten people look like they stepped right out from a magazine photo shoot. You'll see men in three-piece Armani suits and women in gorgeous dresses and accessories just going out to grab a bite of breakfast.

Back in the states? Sweatpants and flip-flops in restaurants. Never been to Oz, though; I've heard that it's also pretty laid back on the dress code >.>

But, seriously. Poland is justifiably in Eastern Europe, and Eastern European women seem unfairly and disproportionately beautiful while young. Many of them stay so.

I thought they took care of that! That Romanian army officer *lied to me*!

Welp, time to visit the lumber store.

Well known for their beauty. Even when modestly dressed, some of them can stop traffic. If you saw the coverage of the Euro Cup from Poland, you'll know what I mean. It's such a stereotype that their Eurovision entry "We are Slavic Girls" made fun of it.

Also, more than a few are devout and family-oriented and very good at releasing "stay with me and take care of me, I will make it worth your while" behavior. My brother went for a Polish girl like that. They've been married going on 25 years.
