I find the amount of butthurt amusing.
Let's see... track IDs which are registering, track IDs which were genuinely issued to Collector's Editions and should be able to register, amass large amounts of copious data on people who can't wait until release day...

...insert future fun activities for software developers... :P

This is why I'll never actually write a game. I'd end up in jail for destroying a Department of Defense computer system or something. :)

Indeed, to both.

... and apparently there is a crack now. :(

(according to the comments on some shady forums, it's not working for all, but it's there)

There's no DRM on the GOG copy, it was going to be out in the wild by tomorrow anyway. Just buy a copy and know you did your part.
Calm down~ you can play it in just a few hours ;)

I have to wait for my collector's and UK Mail is such a pain in the ass.... too bad the CE was sold out so fast in Germany.
Yep, it's real this time. For GOG it's better though - no one will tell the game was torrented because it was released DRM-free.
Damn this thread! You have proved to me that I'm getting old. I simply cannot get so excited and impatient about a game any more. I used to, I remember the agonizing wait for Black and White 2 (and the subsequent crushing disappointment). I was looking forward to StarCraft 2, but if someone had told me that it was going to be delayed I wouldn't have been so bothered (mainly because they did, constantly for about 3 years).

Is it that I'm losing my desire for gaming, or the games just aren't as awe inspiring anymore?

The gaming industry is huge now, you can expect 12-20 amazing titles per year instead of 2-3. Or at least, that's my feeling as to why you may feel that way.

If at all, the second one. But honestly, it's just that you've grown a bit wiser.

It's you, unfortunately. Too much exp.
I'm sure Steam and Gamestop would be thrilled if CDP released TW2 on GoG first and took all their sales. So thrilled that they'll definately carry any subsequent games from CDP without hesitation.
