I bought Alan Wake on here but it runs kind of slow on my PC. I don't know why, I can run more demanding looking games just fine but even when I set Alan Wake on low graphics it seems to struggle. I'm really stumped. Anything I can do to improve the fps?
PC Specs?
Laptop or Desktop?

More information would be useful
Did you look at the Alan Wake forum
Aye we need more info on your sysem spec before we can comment more. Also what programs are you running in the background
System specification and information if it's a laptop or a desktop computer would be very handy in this situation. We cannot do much about this issue without knowng your system specification.

For now, as jjsimp suggested, you may visit Alan Wake Forums and search for a simmilar issue.
I may also suggest visiting PCGamingWiki. It's a great source of information about PC games and various problems with them.

On PCGamingWiki, there's a page for Alan Wake, you can visit it, make sure the system requirements are met. Also, there are some fixes for some problems posted on that page, for example, low frame rate and stuttering.

The game is badly optimized, I installed it recently after buying it at the Humble Weekly and I read through the Steam forums, apparently even some with monster computers can have issues.

Still, specs is helpful especially if you don't meet minimum requirements.
Pffff, you people and your "specs".

I know what the problem is. Treverend, the window near your computer is open, you need to close that. Second, a bit of paper gut sucked into the fan, you should clear that out. Lastly, all those times you played while eating buttery popcorn has damaged your keyboard and mouse. That's why it's sluggish.

Glad I solved your problem for you. : ]
