MonstaMunch: You mentioned you've installed Go Launcher. If that's what you've been using, it's compatible with almost all Android devices. Also bear in mind that an optimized official version of Microsoft Office is supposed to be coming to Android in the next few months.
Dumb question: will MS Office be free?

Glad to know Go Launcher will be compatible with tabs too. It's freaking sweet! The amount of customization I can do with it is just wow. I wanted a simple desktop, kept to a maximum of 3 pages (1 to showcase my wallpaper and time, 1 for task managing, and 1 to store apps + music + alarm widgets), and I managed to customize it that way. Awesome stuff.

It'll probably be $15 like most of the other top Office reader/editors out there. But when you've got it, you can use it on most ofl your Android devices, past, present, and foreseeable future. You never have to pay for updates.

That's perfect. I'll probably wait for the prices of tabs to drop first before picking one up. Thanks bro!
whoa I go away for a few days and a whole slash of off topics!

anyways, good to hear it works acceptably.

Mainly i'm looking to re-play some old school adventure games, which should work decently on a touchscreen hopefully.

will be picking up the Transformer Infinity when I find one in stock here!

Looking at the Transformer specs now, it's really a nice tablet PC. How's word processing like on the Android? I may get a tablet instead of a new laptop to replace my old Acer netbook next year, if it's got a good word processing functionality.

TheEnigmaticT: For word processing, its's perfectly adequate, as long as you aren't using the terrible interface for GDocs. An Android tablet is a perfectly good computer replacement except for the fact that it doesn't archive emails (for searching; when you get 250+ emails a day, you need to be able to search through them pretty quickly and using IMAP search s u c k s) and the GDocs implementation is atrocious. If you've cool working locally and then backing up through, say, DropBox, you're good to go with that one, though.
Have you used the MousePad with any games on the transformer?
I've ordered my Transformer Infinity, and being able to play my old games with the mouse and the tablet sound oooooh sooooo guuuud.

All Samsung tablets (and most of their phones) come with micro USB input, and mouse works fine ;)

^.^ Shweet!!
I think its time to rip the needed files from my Monkey Island games and Full throttle and whatever else I can rummage up :D
So if I buy dosbox turbo am I able to run games I have on gog from it (to the point my phone can handle)?

If not then I would be happy just to play some old on my phone from my cd collection like Albion and S&M: Hit the road.

Yes, I've got several games from GOG running in DOSbox Turbo on my Transformer Prime, including most of the Ultima series, Gabriel Knight:SotF and Descent.

I've also got Albion going. And Sam & Max, although I did that through ScummVM rather than DOSbox. It's probably a better option for anything it supports, since there's less setup involved and it has better support for the in-game interfaces.
Thanks very much. Happy so see another albion player. :P

I just bought DosBox Turbo and tried Tyrian 2000 with GOG's release, worked out of the box but wow, my phone barely handles the game (some audio cracking even with tweaked settings, Xperia Pro).

Question, anyone knows any decent pre-defined shortcuts? Having to mount everytime is very annoying just to start a game.
Hmmmmm for some reason I am getting a "Daggerfall has detected the error 0" when trying to run it.

It works on my Desktop dosbox with no problem but in my android it fails to load.
Can anyone help me out with the install process from GOG to dosbox turbo? I have many games running on dosbox turbo but cannot get GOG games to work. I tried the free beneath a steel sky and had a Win32 only error. When you download the game all you get is a setup.exe file and nothing else. All i did was download from GOG, place on sd card, and try to run the file as normal and it says that the game can only run in Win32. Am I missing a step with the GOG games? HELP ME OUT!

BASS is a SCUMMVM game, so that wouldn't work via DOSBox. Try Ultima IV, if you'd like.

ScummVM has a native port to Android, it's pretty easy to get most of those games working once you extract the files.

Edit: removed redundant redundancy
