hello I was trying to buy a few interplay games and visa paypower wont let me buy the games
they said that gog is at a restricted country and law forbids them from letting people purchase there does anyone else have this problem I know gog is very legit thanks for reading

It happens since GOG is based out of the UK various US pre-paid cards and banks wont allow purchases outside of the US

but paypower said the card allow international purchases also I always bought games with the paypower card

I had the same problem with PayPower. At first I could use them for GOG. Then I could not. I called and was told a story. No fix from them. The only solution was to use the card through PayPal.

Many US-based credit card issuers will not accept charges from merchants based in a number of foreign countries. Visa issuers are the worst for this, and prepaid Visa issuers are the worst of the worst.

They sometimes give out a baloney reason such as claiming the country is on a Federal restriction list. That is false; the actual reason is they do not want to risk fraudulent charges in a "card not present" transaction, and they believe the countries they blacklist have a high rate of credit card fraud.

Notwithstanding Visa's advertising, they are within their rights to do so. Your alternative is to use a different card, or a payment service such as PayPal.

I have the paypower card on my paypal account and it will not go though is there any other way to use paypal to pay for it?

If anyone is still having issues with this, I solved it... In order to pay you need the payment to be processed in Canada or the US, but gog uses a uk cc processor, and paypal.uk, which does as well. You need to add funds to your paypal account, but, you can't use a credit card, only a bank account. However, if you receive money from another paypal account, you get it as a paypal balance, and you can send money via credit card using paypal.com or paypal.ca, which you can do with a paypower card, and most pre-paid cards. You need to open a second paypal account, all you need is a second email address. You can use the same name, address, credit card, everything but the email address, then send yourself the amount you need. Then go back to gog, pay via paypal, choose to pay with your balance, and it'll work. You end up paying a small fee for sending money via credit card, it was under a dollar for me on a 13$ purchase, not sure what % it is, or how it's calculated, but, it does not seem to be too big, and it'll let you pay for gog games with a paypower card.
