I've been trying to buy the D&D collection but have been unable to pay by my Visa Electron debit. Even more weird perhaps is the fact that using Paypal hasn't helped. I get the payment denied error in both cases.
I bought a few other titles today via steam (this I did after my first 2 failed attempts here on gog) using my card.
I've contacted my bank and they swear that they didn't even receive any requests from gog (they usually have records of failed/denied transactions).
Is there a possibility of some problem from your side? I will continue bugging my bank for more details in the meantime.

PS : I am from India and here we cannot add money to Paypal. My bank probably gets data from Paypal about the seller so they might be blocking the payment. I've read other posts where it was claimed that some banks might block payment because the payment servers are in Cyprus. But in that case it means that my bank has been lying to me about the "missing" failed transaction logs.

I kinda have the same problem with VIsa Electron.
I tried to bought Syndicate and Syndicate Wars but could not, so i wondered that could it be because of my bank or something.
Well it wasn't because i just bough the new Amnesia from steam.

Let's hope it will get fixed.
I too have the same problem and have contacted GOG support because of it. Here's the response I got.

Hello,

We're currently experiencing some issues with some card types, and our payment system operator is investigating this in more detail. We will get back to you once we know more.
If possible, please use a different card, or PayPal, until this issue can be resolved.
I apologize for the inconvenience.

Thanks this helped.
Glad I'm not the only one and glad it is not bank-limited issue. Tried with 2 Visa Electron issued by my bank: one prepaid-one I used on gog.com multiple times before and one to my regular account. In both cases I got: Your payment method has been declined by your bank.
I missed 2 promos because of that :-(. Hope they will fix this issue before this highly expected 'shower of classics'.

I use a Visa Electron, but haven't had any problems in a long time . May I suggest going through Paypal, and changing the currency the payment is done in ?
Can't change the currency. Banking laws here prohibit that. Guess I'll have to do without this promo as well. I hope they fix things soon.
Thanks for all the replies everyone. Cleared it up =)

Edit : Licurg, I've already tried the Paypal route. Doesn't work for me with this card either.

I had the same issue with my VE card, but since I could purchase through paypal I didn't think much of it. Kind of figured it's linked to the Cyprus recession fallout and how it affected the banking sector there.

If any GOG staff is reading this, if it really is the bank you operate through at fault here, I'd recommend some compensation claim, because if it were not for paypal, you'd be out of some $20 on my part alone.
The weird thing is that a card I used to buy my whole GOG catalogue suddenly was declined without a reason while all the other shops like Amazon, GamersGate, GMG and such make transactions without a problem.
Even tough this is solved, how do we know that we can buy games again or do we just have to try and see if it works?

I am having the same issues with 2 Visa cards. I used one of them successfully yesterday to buy some games from Steam and the other one I used in the past on gog.com. It's strange, especially since the error message comes back quite fast as if it did not even contact the bank's server.
I wonder when this will be fixed since the D&D sale is going to expire soon. The gog.com support team did not reply to the ticket that I opened.
I hope the issue will be reviewed again, my Visa Electron still won't be accepted.
I admit I panicked a little and contacted my bank Customer Service just in case. I just hope I'll be able to get BG2.

I tried to buy Lords of Midnight yesterday - still the same message.

I chose the Paypal method and was able to pay using a debit card without having to register on Paypal, so that's nice, I didn't know that it was possible.
