Well, looks like quite mixed opinions here. In the end I made a deal and got it for £2.99; too good a deal to miss. Hopefully I'll enjoy it.

Played a few games (total of 14 hours co-op) with my friends and it's definitely worth its price. It's not entirely like L4D, it's got a leveling tree, you got obstacles which require you and your friends to go through, you take hostages, you choose which equipment to carry with u so you need to sort it out with friends which to take, on some maps the cops will find ways to stop you from drilling that safe for example, and there's a certain map that requires stealth before you alarm anyone.

korell: I'm a little bit tempted by the current Steam deal on Payday: The Heist, but I've never been able to make my mind up about getting it. Firstly, any opinions on the game? Secondly, what is the team AI like? If I get the game then sure I'll play it online, but I like having the option to play single-player with bots. L4D for example, I know I can play single-player with bots as they are capable of getting through on Easy and Normal, so it works, but yes the game is better with human players. How does Payday compare on this front? I've read that there have been various AI improvements over time with game updates but how good (or how bad) are the bots exactly? Can the game be played through with them and what difficulty settings are they capable on (if any)?
A cheap coop thrill. Boring fast. Lvl 1 is great. Rest = meh

It's like taking Left 4 Dead, giving it a cops and robbers make over, giving it even dumber AI, making it even shittier to play, and leaves you with a cancerous feeling in your brain when you stop playing it. I'd recommend Call of Duty over this (And everyone here knows how much i HATE CoD)!
