theslitherydeee: Unfortunately I think this was doomed from the start. Most of the money came in the first 4 or so days from original Outcast fans. After that its hardly moved, I think its just too old to be revitalized by the cult community that's left. Its a shame but quite frankly it needs around 7,000 more backers (judging from the rates of successfully funded projects); I think most of the slow progress being made right now is from people who are already backers upping their support. If their lucky it will get a second chance on steam greenlight to be developed.
Steam Greenlight is actually pretty worthless if you don't have the money to fund your game. The only Kickstarter I backed and failed was Shadow of The Eternals, a spiritual successor to Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem by the team that had made the first one. The game got almost instantly greenlit on Steam Greenlight, but that didn't change much, all they know, now, is that whenever they get the money to start making the game, they can add it on Steam with some minor help by Steam tech-people, Early Access and Betas and that kind of crap. Steam Greenlight doesn't give the devs any kind of money or major help in getting their games made, it's just a platform that gets them some (a lot, actually) exposure and publicity. But that isn't worth much if you don't have a game to show, yet.
