Runehamster: I think that's what we call 'honest surprise', folks. Soon we're going to have to introduce him to some other advanced concepts, like 'reading the forums' and 'reading the front page'.

Hey give me a break. I came on tonight to purchase HOMM3 and went straight to the catalog not the front page and secondly this is my first ever time on the forum (even though I was a member of GOG since the beginning and a whole 9 months before you). Just thought I'd come on and post that I thought Outcast would be a good idea and was genuinely surprised when the guys above highlighted that it was probably coming out in 14 hours or so.
Kind of justified my silence from the forum though haven't you as it has taken a single thread post to get some sarcastic put down. Thanks for that.

Hey, heads up!
The majority of us are /usually/ very nice people and are quite easy to get along with. I think you should instead come here more often and check out the general atmosphere.
Honest surprise indeed. Welcome to GOG! You're timing could not be better.

Hey don't worry. Looking forward to Outcast a lot, whenever it may come out. Will check back in tomorrow evening for sure.
Thanks guys.
Cheers,
Rob.

Easy, cowboy - I am frequently sarcastic but rarely a jerk. I apologize for offending you, and welcome to the forums - I'm just a bit too cynical about coincidences like this thread. We've all been discussing Outcast's release for days, so your popping up and mentioning it seemed a little farfetched.

Threads like this one that request specific games tend to be met with unfortunate and frankly unjustified hostility (though I did wonder myself if you were pulling our chains with this one), but outside of that, this is a pretty civilized place and the only forum I visit regularly. You ought to stay.

And I can only reiterate my apology. I assumed you were jerking our chains - instead, it's one of life's odd little coincedences.

Everyone bites too hard sometimes (and not everyone apologizes), but there are a few members here who frequently trip over each other trying to be the first to stab the OP in the throat with a serrated link to the wishlist. Just don't do that, and you'll stay smooth. :p

KublaKhan: Damn I must be psychic! Either that or just living on Mars...

Don't worry about it. By the way, I love the user name. It makes me wonder about your avatar. It ain't Coleridge and it ain't Frankie. If you don't mind telling, who is it? I'm buring a hole in my brain trying to place it.

Nicely put, and a good tip for me, as a newcomer. After all, there's a little bit of a troll inside each of us.

Yes, that is because they are completely 100 per cent disconnected. As you noted Kubla Khan is one of Coleridge's better known works (named after the Chinese / Mongol Emporer Kublai Khan), however the picture is taken from the front coner of Dostoevsky's Notes from the Underground and represents the nameless, lead character who is referred to commonly as 'Underground Man'.
