I usually don't participate in contests with low probability of winning, unless they are in some way creative and useful regardless of the outcome. However, this doesn't seem too time-consuming.

My favorite character from GOG games and games in general is The Nameless One from Torment. This is a bit of a cop-out, since there are many different personalities you can role-play in the game, but I like what they all share. He's the count of Monte Cristo of computer games. Suffering, yet defiant. Mysterious and lost. Inquiring about the world around him and at the same time shaping that world bit by bit. He is a manifestation of a certain kind of grim optimism that I find appealing and often draw upon in real life.
