As I type this, Alone in the Dark is being shown on the SciFi Channel and the movies not even 2 minutes gone and I'm already thinking.... What a load of shite.
The intro is bloody awful and makes little sense, the acting is abysmal, the script is atrocious and I pity how Christian Slater actually got involved in this movie already. He's trying so hard but the script really is letting him down.
5 minutes in I'm already losing interest.
I've read a lot of stuff about Uwe Boll and how he's totally and utterly destroyed game to movie conversions. I can see how 10 minutes in already.
Go-go gadget B-movie.
Postal is fun to watch. If you liked the games of course :>. I think it's way better than his other films.

AITD gets hilariously bad when that clueless bint tries to act all scientisty. And, well, every other bit of it as well.
Not a single bit of it makes sense.
The credits are rolling and I'm truly stunned by how bloody awful the movie is. There are so many plot holes that a industrial concrete mixer couldn't fill them in and the ending........ good grief.
The question now is which is worse. This movie or the latest AitD game?
As bad as they are I can't really blame Uwe, I mean who wouldnt liek to make movies based on games? What I would really like to know is who the hell allows him to continue by selling him the right after having seen the first movie?? Somewhere in there is a greed to large to comprehend.
Sex scene completely out of nowhere...

I can totally blame Uwe for the state of that film, he paid for it with his own production company. The production company is a tax dodge he maintains in Germany. Basically, by investing in a film in Germany (where he produces all his movies), he can write off the entire investment as tax free. He is only required to pay taxes on the movie's profits, so if the movie flops, he gets about 50% of the investment back from the government, completely tax free. That's why all of his early movies suck so bad, he was trying to make flops.

I am a big support of Uwe Boll, I think he is a great man
I have never seen any of his films
AITD: After 5 minutes, I ended switching the TV off and doing something else.
I've managed to avoid a complete watch all of his stuff.
I actually really enjoyed Postal, but I haven't seen any of his other films.
I have never seen any of his movies. is alone the worst or something more atrocious exists out there?
