darthspudius: I don't see the point in not buying them. You're suppose to play games not sulk because they're not on your favourite platform/website.

htown1980: You're supposed to wear clothes, not sulk because they are made in sweatshops.

Different people have different reasons for doing things. Some people's moral boundaries are different from others.
I don't ever recall doing that! Sweatshops are good, gives kids something to do! :D
This is exactly what I expect from the average Steam fan. Those reviews are hilarious.

Best of all, some of those people like to call themselves PC gamers just because they play the latest games, have the latest hardware and use steam, yet know nothing about the games that made PC gaming great.
When will fallout 2 get a swamp based DLC?

I genuinely hope these reviews are simply the cream of a crop past its prime. If not, than this is rather depressing.

Welcome to Steam, Bethesda. This is the audience you chose. Enjoy your stay.

Obviously they're from a different era. I think it's to be expected from a sizable portion of any of the young gamers. They're not as open to sampling different varieties, but rather focused on whatever the current fad is instead.

The ones quoted in those reviews probably weren't doing much gaming on PC before DirectX 9 was released. :D

Someone once said something to the effect ... "you get further with honey than you do with guns..." It's true more often than not and I think situations like this are examples where it is more likely the case.

Some have thought to combine the two :P

PS - I love the unredeemed code you have as your GOG title :)
You people are bringing a poor name to gog by going in everywhere possible and bashing in devs and people for not bringing it gog. This is not the way to request anyone to bring a game to gog , pretty soon if this is the method you adopt for requesting games by bashing in others and starting flame wars outside people will actively shun gog and its members out.

My request to you all is STOP what you are doing :X this is not the right way , you already took the wrath of revolt forums by bashing them in and it did not change a thing. Gog have their own PR team who have cooler heads and better approach than this bashing in and pointless puns . Please Let them talk over and bring the titles back peacefully .

Its disgraceful back a few years ago , the members were so calm and kind that they would actually go to places and request formally for a game, heck even in torrents you could see members promoting gog nicely. Now it's this , go into a forum , bash up all steam supporters and call out the developer or publisher sheesh .

For any 3rd person looking into the sarcastic comments you make there , it would look as if you are trying to impose drm free on everyone rather than people embracing it with open minds.

I kinda want the original versions back on GOG. The ones with bethesda's name on the bottom of the main menu, yuck. Don't get me wrong, It'll be great if they make it back on GOG but personally I'm happy with the original ones I have already, both boxed CDs and GOG version without the yucky bethesda name on it.

Those really aren't any worse than your average GOG reviews. The difference just is, that in here people are creaming their pants over any old game, no matter if it actually is good or not.

Oh, c'mon. Use your common sense. If you read the reviews on Steam you'll notice that the negative ones are BY FAR the minority. And most of the negative reviews are complaining about how broken the Steam version is, not about the game itself.

Yeah, got a few spare codes like that from a long long time ago to make it easy friends joining the site, but who never redeemed them. I think GOG adds them to new accounts automatically now though. :) Thought I'd slip them in the title as a quick n dirty way of having them show up everywhere in the forums without having to post anywhere and write up a blurb. ;oP Of course they're not really worthy for regular giveaways and code drops either so I thought I'd find a new home for them this way. :)
