Hello everyone.
It's sometimes hard for the west getting good but not always over the top hyped japanese games here. Publishers have to ask themselve, if they would have profit by localizing all their titles. And for that were a campaign started called operation rainfall. Making loud noises to Nintendo not only localizing some shitty, generic Wii-stuff. The Operation claimed Nintendo releasing the RPGs The Last Story, Xenoblade Chronicles and Pandoras Tower in the western hemisphere.

Now is the operation back. Accompanied by a profissionel translator studio and collecting votes for unlocalized and unsure for western release games, made by Konami and SEGA. The question is, which one shall be translated to persuade the publishers bringing these games out here?

You can vote here:

Someone interested?
I really hope for Yakuza 5, to fight like a dragon again (mo ryu ga gotoku wo tatakai).
Usually these petitions don't do anything, but I voted for the HD remakes of Yakuza 1+2.
Would be nice to play them again with good graphics and if successful it would help with the rest of the series.
I'm all for this, but....PSP games? Really?

That's fighting a losing battle right there-most stores don't even have PSP sections anymore, outside of a rack of preowned stuff at Gamestop. There's no reason to split the votes on products that might actually make it over.

The PSP still has a strong digital market. Plus, most games also work on a PS Vita and you don't need to buy them again.
honestly I hate Operation Rainfall

Bunch of no good pathetic whiners throwing a temper tantrum over games they haven't even played yet claim they are the best thing ever.

The worst part about it is, they weren't even crying over good games really. Xenoblade's pretty mediocre, and the Last Story is complete garbage that tries to get by on having industry has-beens names on the box and exploitative fake sentimentality. And no one really gave a fuck about Pandora's Tower, it's just that things look better in groups of three and it's the only thing people could think of that was even vaguely rpg-ish. :/

Eh. Digital release. That way it would be VIta compatible too. So I wouldn't say it's a 100% no.

Getting stuff out of Konami or Sega is pretty unlikely anyway, because they're in pretty sad shape IIRC.
I just want a real localised version of Mother 3 =(
Voted for Beyond the Labyrinth and Valkyria Chronicles 3.

Actually it's the fact that these people were complaining about these games, which people were interested in when they heard about them, weren't even getting the chance to actually play the damn games because of the Wii's Regional restrictions. There a plenty of Japanese titles I'm interested in playing, but of course regional restrictions keep me from doing that. Operation Rainfall wanted titles to get localized because people were genuinely interested in them, why take away that opportunity from them? It's no different when a PC game becomes another Steam exclusive and has little to no chance of becoming DRM-Free, are the people who complain about that pathetic whiners as well?

I'll disagree with your opinion on Xenoblade and Pandora's Tower (I haven't played through The Last Story yet), each of them had something going for them and succeed in those regard. Xenoblade Chronicles had a good story with a nice open world to do many things in (side quests, interacting with companions, etc.). Pandora's Tower tried to do an interesting dungeon/tower crawler while having the story centered around Elena, and in some regards it works. But I guess everyone is different in that regard. *shrugs*

Considering that the Mother fanbase tried that multiple times Operation Rainfall wouldn't really help that much (if at all). But I feel your pain. =C

Whiners? When I saw the campaign for the first one it came out like, "these games look good, you guys should bring them over so we have a chance to play them." Its a case of wanting to give the company money, but not being able to due to region restrictions (the cause for 1) or not knowing Japanese (the cause for 2).

With that said I wouldn't mind trying out Beyond the Labyrinth or Valkyria Chronicles III.
Add Capcom in that list to give us Monster Hunter 4 and Monster Hunter Online here.

The reason they picked those three games is because that all already had English translations. I'm not sure how you can accuse them of not having played them either, loads of people imported the EU versions to the US.

The fan translation is plenty localised. How localised is 'real localised'?

They were already localised. Why do you think all the voice acting is British?

I would hardly call that 'real'. It would be pretty nice to have an actual proper, real, legitimate, offical version of the game that I can purchase from the 3DS eShop (that seems like the most likely place for the game to appear).

We obviously have different definitions of real, I guess you mean legitimate and I mean professional quality. It's more likely to come to the WiiU eShop if anything, at least they've announced GBA games for it. There are no GBA games on the 3DS eShop and no plans announced.

Well, I would hardly call something unofficial 'real'. Also, there are heaps of GBA games on the 3DS eShop o_O' Although, maybe the only GBA games are ones that came with the Ambassador Program.

Jim Sterling is a example, he hyped this game up and supporting operation rainfall through and through until he played the game:

Aren't the Yakuza games coming anyway? Sega was happy bringing the previous ones a year later without english voice acting, and they were making a nice little profit too if I'm not mistaken.
