Don't know what the game is about? Psychonauts is an action-adventure platform game created by the very creative and not less twisted mind of one of the industry's greats - Tim Schafer. You play as Raz, a young boy with great psychic talent attending a psychic summer camp. Your quest is to solve the mystery of the kidnappings and to do that you'll have to enter the minds of other camp members and battle their nightmares. To this crazy concept add great script and awesome level design and you get a helluva ride!

The game is only $2.49 until Thursday, February 24 at 10 a.m. EDT.

Love these mid week sales!!! I already own this game, so I can't wait to see what's gonna pop up next Wed. I hope that GOG makes this a full time event.

As for the game itself, I personally don't care too much for it (don't hate it, but don't love it either), but my son seems to be enjoying it, so I'll recommend it on his behalf.
I will say one thing though, it is rather interesting!

Psychonauts was the first game I ever purchased -- nay, ever HAD -- on Steam. Got it then for two dollars after a head's up from Destructoid (maybe Joystiq, too), and now I'm glad to add it and its little goodies to my GOG shelf, also thanks to heads-upping from one of those sites (saw the other's heads-up after IMPULSE BUYING zOMGz!).

Now make me wet myself and add the soundtrack (I don't even care if there's barely any music (haven't gotten far in it after getting stuck), soundtracks just are my second favoritest swag, after props).

He was a Russian author. I know him from the book The Master and Margarita which is basically about the devil and his retinue, which includes a giant cat with a fondness of chess and vodka, paying a visit to the Soviet Union. Absolutely amazing novel.

The Master and Margarita is great but it's pretty deep and you need a lot of patience and time to get into that book but hey, I guess that what makes it good I suppose

I personally prefer the twelve chairs more :)

Honestly though: this is a game that I think EVERYONE should own, regardless of what genre you are into

It's just one of those games that you HAVE to play, kind of Like Silent hill 2 or Metal gear solid, DOOM etc....

So get it while you can, I can guarantee that after the promo ends we will have people complaining that they "werent informed" or they were too late

lets try to avoid that happening

Great promo, but I also bought it for 6.99.

And, what a coincidence, it's exactly the game I'm playing right now. I'm still in the beginning, but I can already tell it's brilliant. Everyone should buy it.
